I used to be fully teetotal as a result of observing my family's disgusting irresponsibility with alcohol, but have of the last year moved to only near-abstinence (on any particular month it's a safe bet I've been dry). Only gone beyond one of anything once as well, which I think got me drunk but I was both alone the whole time and have no other experience to compare. Didn't stop me from making progress in Dark Souls 3, though.

I fucking despise obnoxiously drunk people though, and I do have to admit it's a visceral feeling. I try to keep self-aware about my emotional state, but something about witnessing drunks makes me feel uncharacteristically violent.

I'm also guilty of this. Visibly inebriated people and people who smell like alcohol/pot/whatever are some of the very few cases where I absolutely cannot restrain myself from yelling at them for more than a very short time unless I just remove myself from the situation. The reason is unknown to me. It's not like my family is full of drunks or anything, it just provokes a sort of visceral anger.

I don't conceptually care that people smoke pot but God the smell pisses me off. Everybody on the bus today was high as a kite and the odor was disgusting. I almost prefer the smell of tobacco smoke.

Dealing with the public as I do, the problem of marijuana stank is one I have to deal with almost daily. It is rather unpleasant, and I really wish they'd let us tell the customers to go take a goddamn bath.

I've just realized that I have no real sense of which language things are in, as long as I can understand it. Whether I'm just reading subtitles or listening to something in french or hearing it in my native english, it all seems about the same to me.

I've been incredibly thirsty for milk this past week. It's so tasty and refreshing. I hate milk normally. I like chocolate milk but I used to find white milk totally disgusting... until now when I apparently can't get enough.

That's what Amazon's Echo (or whatever it's called) does, isn't it? Might be worth looking into.
