When I turn it on, sometimes it just has +2 gigabytes free for no reason, and then when I turn it off and then back on, those 2 gigs are just gone...? And then later, those 2 gigs are back, and then they leave again...? What are you doing harddrive, tell me your secrets.

So in wizardry 7 I ran into "Gorn ashigaru" which are... Samurai...

I always find it funny how coming out of the 80s some western rpgs in both game and tabletop form scrambled to put samurai and ninja in, but didn't really bother paying attention to the actual terminology they were using.

Ah the wizardry series.  good games.

Wizardry 7 was the game in the dark savant trilogy that I actually got tired of and quit, about 70% through, but still good games.  Wizardry 7 was beyond nintendo hard.   Wizardry 7 was save every few steps hard.  Wizardry 7 was you have absolutely no idea where to go, what you are doing and basically requires a walkthrough to know how to solve even relatively simple puzzles.

I got stuck in the rat mafia base and couldn't figure my way out.

I then just imported my party into 8 with a 'ok we'll just concede defeat to the dark savant on this one' and beat him in 8.    Kinda cool how the character transfers work though.  I recall reading that if you get the mcguffin in wizardry 7 you actually start with it in 8 and don't have to go steal it like you normally do. Faction reputation stays, and you also transfer over most of your gear, including some things you can't get in wiz 8 by itself.  Even without beating 7 when I transferred my 7 chars into 8 my fighter kept his badass sword.
