Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

According to the Economist, the 2 day climate summit in China cost 5 times as much as the entire Rio Olympic games. It s rumoured the Chinese government spent 22 billion euros organizing it. The Hangzou city council, whose city hosted the event, called the report an exaggeration though.

Turns out that both mine and my stepdad's phones have a feature where emergency weather reports are sent via text message. They also have a unique ringtone, which happens to be a sudden blare of that sound they make with the Emergency Broadcast System. Neither of us were aware of that feature. It freaked us both out.

Said message was that residents of Long Island's barrier island, Fire Island, are being asked to evacuate due to the incoming tropical storm.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the numbers for those. Hangzou didn't need to build an entire city for that, now did they? Either the number is bull, or there was a lot of embezzlement there.

I can't say that the new modlog entry was unexpected, after seeing what just happened, but I have to wonder who the guy's sockpuppets were.

Huh. Apparently that person went around clearing some posts of theirs not too long ago.

What just happened?

The "NO" thread in FGRP should give you an idea.

I'm suspicious, however, because the only posts they excised were the ones in the "NO" thread. Everything else was untouched.

I'm wondering that, too. I remember him just up and leaving in a weird way, but the whole thing with the thread was just odd.

I think over the last week or two I have been becoming increasingly worse at typing on this tablet, despite probably using it increasingly more.

Not entirely sure how that works.

My touchscreen definitely goes pear-shaped when it's overused. I'm fairly certain it's sweat and skin oil carrying your electric charge to register in a different spot, since it gets amazingly worse when I'm jogging.
