to be fair with papal investiture and a really good pope or reallyba traits it mattered but alot of negatives in ckii were resolvable by naming a pissed off vassal court jester,  spying on him, and having a large army.

I feel need to note that gold was not (is not, and never will be) measured in tons. I'm pretty sure that 350 tons of gold is greater then all the (mined) gold in existence.

Well, India "consumed" (like, in gold jewelry) 745 metric tons of gold in '09 so... there's a lot more than that in existence.

Their latest figure for all the gold in the world is 171,300 tonnes
