Honestly, its really hot out but its not the kind of hot where you'll sweat. So exposing skin doesn't really cool you down so the jacket helps a bit to block out the sun.

It's okay, americans look strange to americans

especially at walmart at 3:00 AM
I actually think those times have been the ones where the people were the most normal. Often pretty tired or really kinda' chill, but generally just folks trying to do their shopping and move along. Also tends to be a lot quieter.

The weird times are usually the afternoon, after work and or school is out, honestly.

... but yeah, that's around when I usually went grocery shopping, back in college. No traffic, no nuisances in the store, etc., etc. It's a good time to shop if you can manage it.

What strange land do you live in where people in Walmart act 100% normal? Some of the more outlandish things I've seen were at Walmart. Those poor workers.

Ah, inebriated parents arguing over things they barely understand is frustrating and perhaps slightly amusing.

Knife fight in aisle 3 compared to three dudes in beanies who keep giggling at the word "tortilla" because it sounds nothing like it's spelled.

One's more normal.

They're both NOT normal, though.

FFF-

Got back into Space Engineers. Did the usual emergency ship start. I decided to challenge myself slightly by doing my first build in deep space. I'd just finished the mining ship, docked it to the emergency ship (for the time being, until I had a proper refinery ship/station built), and had just started adding on a collector to the latter. I'd gotten into the zone, so I hadn't noticed the ship creeping up on me. One burst of gunfire and the reactor, refinery, and oxygen plant on the emergency ship are gone. Since the miner is a small ship, can't build a refinery on that, can't take the time to cut up the emergency ship since I'm still under fire, basically forced to reload because everything else is a dead end.

Fuck you too, game. >.>

How hot is "really hot" to you?

As a person who basically does not sweat, I can disconfirm part of this from my own experience: you can radiate heat better from bare skin than you can from skin which is covered with fabric of some sort, because that fabric acts as an insulator, trapping body heat.

I'm not saying that reflecting the sunlight with some kind of clothing is bad, though, because any sunlight you reflect is sunlight that doesn't heat you up.

(Are you wearing a white jacket? It would reflect better, I think.)

Better a parasol of some kind than a jacket though, as that won't insulate you. (And will be easier to hold above your head. :P)

That is quite appropriate, actually.
