The word "abstruse" seems to be quite a good example of irony.

There's a warning on the tattoos I'm cutting informing you that tattoos are not to be used on your hair. I get warnings about your eyes or sensitive skin, but hair? Completely harmless, I don't understand.

Also, someone smeared their shit on the inside walls of one of the toilet stalls.

Wait, you mean other people don't use the toilet stalls like that?

The word "abstruse" seems to be quite a good example of irony.
But it's not.
Abstruse is abstruse.  It's not ironic that it is a descriptor of itself.

It's possible that the ink in the tattoos could damage the hair. Stain, bleach, that sort of thing. Possibly damage the root causing hair loss in the applied area.

It's ironic that a word for describing something obscure is obscure :P

Irony is when the specific opposite of what you would expect happens.  The chair of an ethics board taking bribes is ironic because you expect a person in that position to be ethical.  The chair of an ethics board getting mugged sounds superficially ironic, but actually isn't.  The expectation of being ethical carries no implication of being immune to the actions of unethical people.  Now a policeman getting mugged, that would be ironic.

Abstruce is not ironic because there's nothing about that specific word that would make you expect it to be obscure or well known.  Its a word.  You don't say the word obscure is ironic because everyone knows what it means.  Really the only ironic word I can think of off the top of my head is "lisp", and even that's subjective whether its ironic or fitting.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

Battlefield fans seem to think it will be dead Real Soon Now, what with "Battlefield One."
