I use a custom color scheme. And I like microcline.
What I don't use for building is rock salt. It would just be ridiculous.

I take back what I said about the greens -- dark green anyway -- as I forgot about green glass.

However...

Light Green -- Garnierite *only*

Dark Blue -- Nethercap(?) + Kimberlite only

Light Blue -- Cobaltite only

Garnierite is a lime green though, but depends on your tastes and light green/lime green would have its uses. Also, aren't spore trees light blue? Cobaltite is plentiful when it exists anyway.

I'm pretty sure spore trees are cyan -- they share colors with lay pewter and clear glass.

Dirt.

Nothing I hate more than a dirt wall. Problem is, I tend to put my earliest rooms in ATLEAST on such area. Also walls, hate having to put in walls, you need blocks if they're going to be smooth, and you can't ever engrave them

On-topic:I HATE gypsum, orthoclase, and any yellow rocks/ores/bars(Except gold. I like gold.)

Probably mudstone or any of the other dirt/sewage colored rock.
