Layton is probably going to find evidence doing people's jobs for them, and Wright is going have to use that evidence to prove the witch person innocent.

I expect that they'll take turns proving that important person A really is guilty, which will alarm and dismay Wright when he has no more contradictions to defend his guy.  But then, in the final chapter, all the other contradictions will come together and they will use STAR POWER to uncover the true bad guy.

We already know the bad guy. Its some guy and whatever he writes becomes the truth. Of course there is the question of why he doesn't just write all the evidence away.

Wouldn't Layton be the prosecutor/detective and Wright the defence attorney (of course)? That's the impression I get from the trailer and title.
