If only visualizers worked with 31.16 + other stuff
« on: October 19, 2010, 07:54:11 am »

My embark site was "flat" with a major river and a stream.
The stream is next to my wagon.
The river is 39 z-levels down a cliff.
Looks like I didn't need to disable aquifers anyway.

It's probably made from baby bone, with a handle of baby leather. Probably uses the leg bones wound together for the handle, the pelvis for the handle/pick joint, and the pick is the spine.

But that's all in theory, of course. Not like I've made a pick out of my own 5 month old baby before.

How wide is the river?
If it's wide enough, you could suspend a fortress along the length of the river.
It'd be way cool.

there's a second stream I missed out.
this is it (all empty squares are over water):
Spoiler: RIVER (click to show/hide)
Now to harness the power of this water source. Anyone arriving on the south/west is fucked atm.

I approve.  Is it possible for us to get the world gen params and location by chance?

See the wiki article on waterfalls for information on how to find a location like this.

Yep, I use Stonesense all the time.  Overseer works with it just fine as well.

I am an idiot, the title has been fixed.
Also I'm using a ton of mods, your worldgen probably wont turn out like mine
Also, it kills your FPS. I only have 7 dwarves and am getting ~130 FPS, when it should be around 300

Overseer works with 31.16.
Now all I need is a computer capable of sustaining both DF and a visualizer at the same time.

You have a computer that can get 300 fps, and it's not powerful enough for you ?  World on a stick ?  :)

I will assume it won't work because I lack a graphics card.
