I understand why it's happening, tbh it's terribe design if it's not actually a bug.  If the cage is forbidden, then the animal shouldn't be accessible - they'd have to open the cage to take the animal out (in theory if not in practice).

Burrows!   :D

I did, as soon as the ambush popped up.  Every dwarf in the fortress besides the military.  They ignored it, and just kept doing what they were doing.   Like I said before, what the fuck.

Did you assign he dorfs to the said burrow. Savegaming sometimes fucks up the running DF. Restart and removing current directory usually helps.

Engraved on the monitor is an exceptionally designed image of FPS in Dwarf Fortress and it's multicore support by Toady. Toady is raising the multicore. The artwork relates to the masterful multicore support by Toady for the Dwarf Fortress in midwinter of 2010. Toady is surrounded by dwarves. The dwarves are rejoicing.

Here's a weird one: butchered some animals that were in cages and ... the cages went away.  I guess we ate the cages?

Oh here's a gem of a bug:  Caravan comes to visit, gets mostly killed by surprise siege except for a donkey carrying a load of stuff; since it no longer has a leader, it doesn't know how to go home; it becomes overcome by melancholy because it misses the mountainhomes; ALL ITS STUFF is up for grabs and not forbidden (it didn't die!), and another surprise, you can't forbid its stuff by keyboard d-b-f, you have to click it with the mouse.

Inexplicable: despite having o-F-(cio) set, some cats ran outside and got splashed, and a few of their body parts were not forbidden.  Most were OK, but a few were free (very bad).
