not only is jaybud.com inaccessible, but the gameserver is down as well.

The server was up about 2 minutes ago.

Was up, I just got the socket.extension timeout error.

I havn't seen that in ages, so I asumed it had crashed, seems the gameserver works. (define: works)

The game server, if it did crash, is on an automatic-restart script, so it should come right back afterwards.
There's a small delay while everything loads (and mostly while the IRC bot connects to the server, not sure why that's part of the main server thread) that *might* take long enough to time you out if you connect on the front end of it, and the network surrounding the VPS might go down, which would result in, naturally, being unable to connect, but once the network is back, the server will be too.
I'm not sure where Tylui is.
And I'm really not sure why the site isn't working.

I just played Symphony of the Night not too long ago, such an awesome game.

We're not returning to a permanent map until Notch fixes this huge tile update bug.
This being Notch, I'd be willing to bet that won't be until 1.6, so we're in for the long haul here.
Hell, by the time that time comes, I'm wondering if anybody even wants to go back to gold 5?

Vaguely torn on the prospect of a new map. On the one hand, I had a lot of materials, including nearly two full stacks of iron ore. That's a lot for me. >_>

On the other, I couldn't really get around to building anything interesting, so eh. My greatest accomplishment was an impressively long tunnel that got walled over by someone else's project.
