Double-post bump to note that we are in fact not plagued by the slimes of the other servers.

I managed to create a Dome-Like Place out of a mine tunnel. It's quite close to spawn, just head towards the portal hub while looking to your left. 4x3 tunnel that ends in double doors, and the sign should be obvious.

I've got nothing important inside it anymore, so feel free to hang out there when it gets dark.

I've just been trying to avoid it but it's EVERYWHERE

Also it's incredibly random, dangerous, filled with monsters, easy to get lost in and basically just a bad place to be.

Since you were so close to my old house when you were building, you're probably getting into part of "Omniscient Creeper Caverns". Which I had thought I pretty thoroughly explored! But rest assured it has no owner (that I know of). Are you hitting the torched areas, or is it all dark?

So, I died today and noticed that the respawn had been Creeper'd to tiny little pieces. Spent a few minutes fixing it up as a water-based crash-pad to stop those annoying respawn-fall-die-respawn-fall-die-respawn-fall-don't-die cycles that seems to accompany every death.

I broke into the torched areas but ragequit in fear and walled off the dark areas when two creepers and two skeletons appeared in the darkness and started charging at me

Minecraft still doesn't like me, being next to unplayable online, at least until notch changes whatever broke, and my funds are rapidly diminishing... (If the answer of what happens to my stuff is "free storage", I can tolerate having 0 funds by the time I can finally play again)
