So I've finally, finally finished designing the bow of the HAV Stonespray.

I'm now going to build it in MCEdit - I may end up building the entire ship in MCEDit, which leads to a question: How do I check how many blocks a schematic will use?

I think it tells you when you save it. Bloodfist takes up at least 10,000 blocks if I recall correctly. Which reminds me....

EDIT:
Correction. It has 0.9 million blocks. O__O

EDIT EDIT:
Optimizing the copying/exporting, the scale has reduced to 0.65 Million blocks now. And that's also after removing some statues that were accidentally copied in. To add in, I also tried cutting closer, now there's a 1-tile buffer-zone on all sides, and some adequate space above and below the ship for imports.

I'm hoping I can easily close the decks/retract the bridges, and see if I can make it a proper-looking free-flight target for TNT cannons, or a form of scenery. I can imagine some people could make some wreckage sites out of the Bloodfist template. I'm still drawing a blank on a good file distributor other than DFFD for this, seeing as it's semi-unrelated to DF.

EDIT EDIT EDIT:
Standalone Bloodfist (all bridges retracted, and no stone bridge connection; great for scenery or target practice) stands in as an export of little over 0.488 million blocks. New record for that sucker. Now to pack it up and send it off for our fellow B-12 and Minecrafters. I get it uploaded, feel free to add it to your server.

Can creepers be modified to have the block-destroying capabilities of the player they are attacking? I once had one blow up near me when I was on as a guest, and it destroyed a bit of someone's construction. Worse, for the greifer potential, it dropped harvestable resources from some of the blocks.

To prevent that, at least in non-guest areas, Builder+ can set a cuboid to not be affected by creeper explosions - that is, when cuboid is installed and working correctly.

Also, Inet, does the current block total include terrain or not?

Only if the server code is modified to have anything know what it is attacking.
As it stands, mobs attack an entity.player and leave it at that.

I can't connect either.

Also, when we get Minecart Mania installed again, please please please please build the tracks alongside the roads, not on them!

Probably not.  The server software is ridiculously unstable as of the update.

hMod is updated, but the plugins that protect us from nasty events (cataclysmic fire, etc) are not.  So, we'll just stay on this map until they are.

nooooooooooo.

to the server being down, not to the choice of plugins.

Notch released a new version this morning, and in the release notes it says that it fixed a horrible memory leak. Hopefully that stops all the weird crashes it's been having. I updated the vanilla software, but until ALL the regular stuff Jaycraft uses is updated, we can't go back to the other map. ;)

I don't know how stable and/or compatible it is with current plugins, but I've tested it on Windows with the latest hey0 mod (129?), the LeafDropper plugin and BiomeTerrain 11.1, and it seems to work fine.

Okay, we're back on a temporary hMod map while we wait for Cuboid to update, as it is what provides the guest zone functionality.

The server is great, but I will be at least a little bit disappointed when the old map is restored:

Hey Jay/Tylui,
I think there's something wrong with the statistics page.

The user you banned recently is listed as having 100+ hours of playtime since Nov 27, which implies ~20 hours a day of play.

The "since" field got reset a while ago, due to the plugin update, but I don't think it reset the playtime.
