Notch breaking something.  I can't think of any planned additions that would definately break it though.

So my crundles are staying intact unless they're newly spawned... until they are exposed to anything that isn't at room temperature.  This mostly seems to mean blood, specifically, their own.  Then they go poof very quickly.

(Assuming Notch doesn't break our current map, which seems to be a good assumption from what I've heard/know) Jay's mentioned wanting to start over when SMP is fully implemented and functional. Notch has said when this happens he'll call it beta.

The question's essentially, "When's beta coming out?" which gets you swatted in the head in many different circles.

I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

 Only because nobody ever asks "when is Beta coming out?" They always ask instead "Why isn't Beta out?"

EDIT: Yep, just like I thought we won't be able to run any of the hey0 things... So I'm going to start the server in vanilla mode after a thorough backing up of everything just the way it is now. Just in case.

Hey0 apparently doesn't release until after 3pm PST, at which point I will be at my other job, so Jay will likely get the server up and running with hey0 mod at whatever point hey0 releases it. :)

EDIT2: It's up. Enjoy, but don't expect your changes to be saved! Most likely they will be, but if we have any griefer problems, the save will be reverted.

EDIT3: Trifle came up with a great idea! We'll be spelunking the lower dimension for a while!

EDIT4: Nevermind; hellworld seems a little buggy...
