I'm still working on my designs - unsurprisingly, making complex 3D shapes in 2D is a bitch to do and I may end up building the bow and stern in Inventor, just to save myself a headache or twelve.

dragonshardz you might want to have a look at Cube Kingdom. It's free and works a little like a 3D paint, placing blocks instead of pixels, you can use simple colours or even textures. I've used it in the past and still do once in a while.

I even assembled a custom texture pack for it.



I really should start frequenting your server Jay. I'll likely come and do some tourism this coming weekend and maybe even build a nice house for myself.

Oh heck yes Vattic, I've been meaning to ask if anyone had something like that. Also, you should definitely poke around Jaycraft. It's a fun place to be.

Edit: Wow, the controls on Cube Kingdom are really intuitive. Great find. Gonna grab your texture pack there too!

Edit2: Oh, just noticed the menus are in Japanese. Well time to bust out my incredibly rusty minimal knowledge!

Edit3 (the ever-expanding post): Looks like you just hit the button down by the texture palette, hit yes, and choose the texture picture file that Vattic included to swap them. Most of the other options in the menu are pretty self-explanatory from their shortcut keys (New, Open, Save, Undo, Redo, etc)

I forgot to mention the Japanese menus. Luckily there are both few enough and they do little enough damage that trying them all is a good way to figure things out. That's what I did anyway.

Haha yeah, I have a proposal due next Monday that determines whether I can stay in my program at school and at this point I'd kind of like to stay in the program, so I've been playing games less.  I'll still probably be popping in periodically, but I don't have big blocks of time until... the 16th at the earliest, probably more like December 1st.
