Turns out Notch is upgrading the auth server.

This is good.

However, the auth server has been taken offline in the interim.

This is bad.

EDIT: Don't run in offline mode, as you don't keep your name, and connect as "Player".
But the server itself does not require authorization from Minecraft.net, so you only need to keep trying once, not twice :P

Double-post and bump because I fixed the bug that were plaguing our guests, also we were on page 2.
No news is..  good news?  I guess?
Bukkit is still not near a release, so unfortunately still no ETA on GoldX.

Their pre-release version is fairly broken.

Is it normal when just holding still that a creeper goes off and does only half a heart of damage? I always thought it was oneshot at that range.

 Sometimes one will explode on the other side of a wall and only two hearts remain with only a single window being broken, and other times I take on a blast to the face and take fall damage from the hole created and only end up losing three hearts.

 Creepers are weird.

 I remembers the forums used to be filled with threads about people complaining that skeletons were like snipers, unable to miss hitting you.

 Heh. They are now perhaps one of the easier targets to take down now.

I suspect I knw what may have broke things...

It was one of the latest four craftbukkit commits, one of which looks very suspicious ans I am testing right now.

Edit: confirmed.

Going to look into a proper fix...
