Oooh, I like that mod...I like it a lot.

also, Jay, I was wondering if you would consider adding the bridge mod to Jaycraft. I'm not sure if it's compatible with post-Nether-update, but if it is, I think it would be a really cool thing to add to Jaycraft.

EDIT: Also, is using this mod okay? I have been /dying/ for a minimap!

If you let us use those two mods (in addition to bridge), I think you should add them to the server itself - that way everyone gets the new toys.

That's not how mods work.
The client code and the server code is entirely separate.
The server does not do anything with boats, or the client render code, so those two mods cannot be added to the server in the first place.
I would rather you not use the boat, because it makes it ludicrously easy to expand the map by a huge amount.

The bridge has not been made for the server, and as such cannot be added to the server.

If the whole machine is down, it's out of my hands.  Sorry, folks

It would be nice if the server would remember who first explored any given chunk. That way you could punish greatly any fool who did that sort of thing.
