Nope. Just tested the light, after you posted this, just to be sure, and it wasn't reliably spreading from sunlight.

the out of memory thing is random, so it's harder to test.

Haha, I always spawn at the bottom of the ocean. And my launcher won't work, so I have to play from the site. (the launcher hasnt worked for a while now, I usually just play offline.)

Happens a lot in vanilla. SMP spawn is randomish "near" the actual point, which is probably in the middle of a tiny block of dirt in the middle of water.

I think there may be a hacker around. I was just standing around, smacking some dirt blocks, and suddenly, I start taking damage. I look around, but I don't see anything. It's the middle of the day, so it couldn't have been skeletons/zombies. There wasn't a boom, so not a creeper, either. The damage came in increments of half-hearts (same damage as fists) and at the same rate as fists. Plus, shortly before the mystery damage, the game said somebody called CoughDrop logged on.

CoughDrop ain't no hacker.
Likely just the invisibility bug Notch seems to be ignoring :V
