Talk about tech, and things.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

So, I have a battery backup for my desktop, kinda expensive, but worth the money. new, it gives me about 40 minutes of backup. Now, about 10-15.

I can buy a set of external batteries by the same company that makes the UPS, but that costs about half the price of the UPS itself, or I can buy a set of no-brand batteries for a third of that price, and wire em up myself.

I went with the no-brand batteries.

Sadly, I did something wrong, and now, when I tested it, the reported battery level dropped to 0% in about 10 minutes, but the computer still ran for another hour before I got tired of hearing the constant beeping of the critical battery alarm.

so now I have the beeper tuned off. problem solved.

I have a conundrum.
I want to transfer a bunch of old files from my old computer to my new one.
Old computer is OS X 10.3.9 and new one is Windows 7.
I don't have a USB flash or hard drive and no way to create a direct uplink between the two.
Furthermore, my old mac does not show up on the network of my new computer.
Would there be a way to link the two, possibly via direct ethernet to my router?

Excellent!

Going to begin the process of overclocking my e8400 in a few months, when I have time and money. Currently debating over which heatsink to use. The Noctua NH U12P SE2 looks great, so I might get that, but it's certainly not the best so I'm open to suggestions.

I believe they have samba for OS X, take a look at that.

Actually, I got Mediafire to work, as long as I limit it to one .zip at a time.
Of course, at the rate it's going, it'll take 3 days to uplaod everything.
I'm in no hurry.

Frankly if it was going to take me so long I would just have gone and fetched myself a USB-stick from the shops. you never know when you need one ;)

There are places you can get a nice 20 GB or so for around 10 bucks. Those things are insanely cheap.

Using a Corsair H50 myself. Works marvelously and very quitely, though kinda pricy.

In fact, im considering adding another fan to the radiator to make a push-pull thing, but my MB only has one 4-pin PWN connector. So I need to find some way to around that first, it should be possible to link both to one plug as long as I omit one of the feedback wires.

As for the file transfer problem, what keeps you from just grabbing the HD from the old comp and linking it to the new one?
