Necro and Time are going to be the hardest to actually develop, so we need to get started on maxing them ASAP. Some deep down instinct tells me a N/T dragon would help immensely with it.

We could always just go loot the dragon graveyard of dragon corpses. That or we could steal even more eggs for necronic baby dragons.
This one should definitely have time, but until we can actually give intelligence to things we make necronic we should probably hold off on a skeleton dragon.

The dragon would be smart anyways. And besides you made your own point. We can't revive a dragon, because it would end up dumb. This will be our one chance for a while to get an intelligent undead dragon. I can only imagine the level of epicness an undead/time crosstype dragon would give us to start out with.

Has he ever once said it would have intelligence? I meant once we had the ability to go back to the floating island, and by then we'd have way better magic.

To solve all arguments: It can breed and grow through MAGIC. It's magical, it doesn't have to make a damn of sense. there's a penny-arcade comic that expresses this better than I can.
...

You practice your time magic with the hourglass, working on speeding up and slowing down time. You should really make this thing soon, it's a nice piece of equipment. After about an hour of that, or long enough to get bored, it was time magic, you begin working on necromancy. You reanimate a few dead birds and then pain them back to death. You need something bigger, and possibly some needle and thread to really get into necromancy... Your badger claws away idly at a tree. It seems to think while you train it should to, but being a necromantic undead (not a natural) it cannot gain any skills. How funny.

Does draconic magic mean we can use magic that dragons can, or is it just general use of dragons for now?
Also, how many elements can our dragon have before it just isn't anything useful? We assume two, but is this truly so?

Relevant plans; train lightning and ice magic up to 1.

Dragon Magic is stuff we could do with a dragon. We controlled a legion of hundreds with a bind, but they revolted and we escaped. We can still bind service and bond with them better than a normal person, and now a few spells to ride bareback and force breath attack. We can also increase their strength and further down the line we'll be able to transform ourselves a bit and breath fire, grow wings, ect. A dragon can have two elements in the egg, and then can be train from there. So if you want your dragon that's in the egg right now (which has beautiful combo of skills by the way) to breath fire or something you'd have to train fire around it. You can do this until it reaches adolescence and is ready for the first breeding season.

I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this fort any more. Migrants arrive, they die for some reason, the fort is flooded for another reason, then dwarves go mad, more dwarves die and I'm just laughing in my distress.

I'd rather our first dragon have some form of breath power. Right now it can make things go slow, and avoid dying for the most part. Maybe an ice/lightning-breathing bone dragon?
Train ice or lightning up to 2.

The breath attack is only imprinted after the hatching. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

At the time I can safely say that, to me at least, it wasn't. I'm cool with a bone dragon so long as we can be like Sepulchure from DragonFable.

For future reference; go to town when night finally falls, then loot the graveyard of corpses.
For now; make the hourglass better, practice necromancy up to 2

I'd actually like us to be a Sepulchre/Black Mage some sorta super evil demon king emperor of all evil in the universe thing.
