Can weapon traps be corrupted or broken?

I ask this, since I just lost a bookkeeper down my hallway of fun. Apparently he tried walking through the glass corkscrew traps and they ripped him to bits.

Was he crawling? A a stone/weapon/cage trap will trigger on anything that's prone for any reason.

Oh I see... well I can't be certain, but there is a trail of vomit from far far away leading to the trap and corpse. So... shit. No I feel inhumane for trying to allow him to make it to safety.

It will trigger on anything that's unconscious, not prone. Was the bookkeeper suffering from any syndromes or injuries that would cause him to give in to pain?

Strange that he would crawl off the trap, though. Typically, creatures that have passed out from pain stay unconscious after they have been horrifically maimed.

Check to combat logs to see if it was really the corkscrew traps that killed him.
