Who should be President for the next term in the United States?

Voting in 2012. Who would you want to nominate for the President of the United States?

Obama is a fairly realistic choice, since it's fairly likely he'll run again unless things get worse or don't improve much over the next two years. What type of background or who in particular would be the best choice in your mind to take the job? My ideal President for example might be the most distinguished economics professor possible. I don't happen to know who that is.

I'd vote for Obama. Like it or not, he's been your best President since Carter. I'd just wish he did have a supermajority in the Senate.

Hehe, I wiki'd him. He seems competent at what he does. He would be a good choice for the Republicans. Depending on how things shaped up, I might even vote for him as he seems like a reasonable choice. I'd have to hear more about his foreign policy though. Basically how he'd choose between cutting the army's budget or the help me go to college budget.
