That was my boat and I've done nothing to you guys.
Any human that lands on Gulnas Abaloddom is currently entering a warzone, and therefore subject to those kinds of issues. Your boat has become collateral damage.

Hey, I kinda want to get into this game. Not sure if I want to join the Dwarves, it sounds like a bit of a drama fest at the moment, but incase I'd like to at some point what's the race and stuff I should make? Or do I just declare myself a Dwarf ICly?

So can someone answer me what's up with the characters' database? It gives me only a "new" choice.

I only came on the island to trade with their leader for supplies. If you guys are going to start griefing randoms for no reason then I'll make your entire fort collateral damage and kill on sight. Last warning. I've already been killed by one of you in white for no reason. OOC kill too, just straight up rode up on a bux and whacked the crap out of me while I was gathering phluf.

Woah, chill out. This is supposed to be a roleplaying game, what happened to the rule of "You are not your character, and your character is not you"? Diplomatic conflicts should be resolved ICly as to add to the depth of Roleplay. They shouldn't lead to OOC conflicts and drama because of IC incidents.

Why should I reason with griefers? You've already screwed me over twice for no reason.

It would be helpful if you actually said "who." There's more than one group on Gulnas Abaloddom.

Like I said, there is an open state of war. I feel bad for you that you were griefed (which is what the man in white on a bux did, but that could have been EITHER SIDE, or a random third party) but sinking boats is actually a critical war tactic for the dwarves of Abaloddom. It prevents rescue of those who are defeated by those who survive. It's why the Eksadus burned the port, it's why the dwarves destroy random boats. If you don't like it, make a deal with one of their leaders for your boat to be protected.

Your boat might not even have been sunk, but stolen by one side or the other.

(Edit: It occurred to me, it might also have been stolen by a third party. the fact you are automatically assume that the DWARVES are responsible for this makes me wonder if you weren't there to grief dwarves. It's happened quite a bit so far.)

Especially considering I have seen the humans on the island island dressed all in white before, especially in winter where they were using it as camouflage, while the dwarves wear all sorts of colours.

I am sorry to hear you've been having problems on Gulnas Abaloddom and some of it from us. Everyone is a little jumpy from the problems we've had with the humans to the south and from what I hear happened at the last fort. To be fair we rarely get any peace, still though I understand that it's likely poor excuse from your point of view.

It's kind of disturbing how often I hear people complaining about dwarves. I think it would be best for the fort if us dwarves try and be more cordial. Dwarves should be known in part for their hospitality, dwarves throw the longest parties after all, even if we don't let people in for safety reasons.

Really though I'd imagine everyone else feels the same as me in that drama should be kept out of this thread to avoid Toady locking it like he has others.

I think a large purpose of it is to generate interest in the game from B12, which wouldn't really be effective if it's not on B12.
