Right, who exactly was the 'wizard' that summoned an orc and restored durability to half of the fortress? I need his name and ANY descriptive qualitys.

No, it's not. Duradbesmar is fine.

Your offshoot Abaloddon may have an infestation, but the Main fortress remains Flurm-free.

(On a sadder note, due to a rollback, Kal no longer exists.)

Canteens are one of the best luxury items to have in this game.

I would say that to survive over a long time efficiently in Hazordhu, you need:

Backpack (stores 50 items; you never have to drop anything to make a boat)
Canteen (unlimited water??? I've never run out)
Three basic tools (Tongs, Hatchet, Knife) used to make all other tools (I keep one of each of the other tools in my pack)

Then, my personal luxuries:
Harness
Bow/Quiver (Do quivers store infinite arrows???) for killing unavoidable beasts at range
Tar (make a well anywhere so you don't run out of water)
Bowl

(On a sadder note, due to a rollback, Kal no longer exists.)

Gaia took him back.

We should appeal for mercy!

Cant find this supposed dwarf fortress.  Went across the water to the north.  Found a huge number of boats against the shore and docked, walked straight north, hit a mountain and am walking around it aimlessly assuming that's the fortress mountain.

Edit:  Found a brick wall and door.  Walked North and found a small workstation and a cave entrance that is SUPER small.

Join IRC. Since you are near Duradbesmar, I'll guide you in, but it'll be tough. Head back to the ocean, then walk east until you reach the cliff. Head north without taking any side passages. When you are following the east wall and come to a north cliff with a narrow 2 size passage continuing north and a passage that is 2 wide going east 1 square, then south several squares also 2 wide, probably blocked by trees, head back south. The next turnoff that goes east follow the north cliff wall. It'll wrap around, keep hugging it even as it becomes the west wall then south wall. You'll run into a small shrine called Okun Gaia. That's Duradbesmar's east gate.

Duradbesmar is 100% mined out from the update.

The earthquake of 58 didn't harm it much. That's what happens when you are faithful to Ikal and pray regularly. Just in case I made a Gaia shrine nearby tho ;)

Well tell Ikal to send some of that love this way, and to quit spawning flurms inside the temple. Flurms. I HATE FLURMS.
