I'm confused - what makes you say that's "not legitimate RP"?  It may be annoying, and I'm not saying anyone should run around pulling shenanigans of this sort, but I'm not seeing any indication that the player isn't just acting in character.

It's not legitimate because there's an exploit right now relating to locked doors. And I'm not talking that they all unlock at server reset. So. If he's inside our doors and admits they were locked, and he didn't bash it down, he used an exploit. I.e., fun for him, but they still shouldn't be doing it.

The only other way you can read that sentence would be if he had a key.

We aren't wiping any time soon.  This coming update with the new digging stuff will collapse every cave in the server, and require they be dug out again.  I've tried pretty much everything to avoid a total collapse, and nothing I can come up with is feasible right now.  Nothing will be lost,  you'll simply have to re-dig.  On the bright side: after this, even unsupported tunnels will save.  So you don't have to place supports all over the place when you're exploring.

I think this means that we need to start logging off on the surface, guys. At least until after the patch.

It seems I should have read the latest posts before finishing the repair work inside of the fort.

Um, I hate to see it but you should honestly be a bit more active on B12. I'd say no, but I don't have the final say, so I'll leave that up to Nenjin/whoever.
e; Dwarf of Defeat, get on IRC. EsperNet , room is #Bay12Dwarves or Bay12Dwarves

He's still a little new to be active, but predates our Haz startup.

Yea, we aren't sure if you got the culture yet though moahcool. You know who Cacame is?

I've let Benny in. Being registered to Bay12 for a month or more, since before the start of this thread, is my litmus test.

I'm going to work on a plan for Aboloddom, since nobody else is. Anyone have any requests for room types or requirements?

I don't know who Cacame is, until I accidentally read his wiki entry a few months ago while looking up the how DF names stuff. It must be an upper boards thing :P

The server has been put down temporarily due to lag issues, felt like this should be stated by an admin from the game.

But by answering, you have had to have actually found out, which means at least a brushing with Bay12 Dwarf Fortress culture.

By the way, New baby dwarf running around. It's name is Kal. It'll be heading to Abaloddon with Muz.

Yeah, the game crashed.
I have to go for tonight, I'll be back online tomorrow afternoon.
Also, my character needs water badly and I can't find any.

Moah, find a well in the fortress. There should be bowls laying around them. Right click a bowl in your inventory while facing the well to get water into the bowl, then right click to drink it.

Later you should make a canteen to carry around with you.
