I  don't like it when Admins contact me to try to tell some of you guys to behave, but I guess I'm very memorable. Apparently some of our people have been breaking the Terms of Use. Please ensure you read and understand it.

So you're calling me a liar? I know what I read. You said, out of character, I'm RPing talking to this thing and you're disturbing me by being here and I will report you.

But whatever. I don't particularly crave your trust. And enjoy the closest look you're ever going to get at the fortress.

And squeaky, that's beautiful, thanks for putting in the time to do it. I can't imagine how long that took you, my half assed one earlier took almost 45 mins.

Indeed, I am because I too know what I said, and I too know that you are a bit over-confident. IF I wanted to, I could ransack that whole place in a day.

HOWEVER I choose not to, because I know some of the dwarves are viable RPers with better things to do than hassle somebody all day.

Squeaky, I really appreciate that map. it does wonders for showing a good scale of what is going on.

You call that friendly? Look man, I know you can get into the fort. I've already pretty much explained this to you in RP, but here it is in plain English: I think you're pretty much a douche and am not interested in even interacting with you in an RP sense, because you didn't even try before you went completely lame on me.

And now for more unpleasantness.

I've been told that, while I was sleeping (jesus) someone made a ton of moulds for the gate that were just lying around, and we're probably compromised.

I'm getting tired of this guys. If you have a friend we didn't accept, fuck them. We NEED TO KNOW WHO HAS ACCESS TO THE FORT AND SECRETS ARE KILLING US. This business of friends of friends of friends is not feasible, and it wasn't last game. If you can't accept the rules that keep this place from being torn apart by assholes, don't stay here. I don't care what your lame RP excuse is, it's annoying. We're changing all the locks again.

I don't want to have a leader complex, but it's like I have to come clean up dog poop every time I sign on now. Tired of stocking up supplies so they can get trashed. This is on top of trying to actually do something with the inside of the fort, or even explore the cave like was intended.

I've tried to deal square with people, and be nice, but I'm going to get nasty because frankly, it seems like the minute I turn my back, things fall apart.

Don't be an idiot. Don't leave extra moulds and keys laying around.

Don't be an asshole. Don't abuse the trust we extend to you when we let you into the fort. Go strangle puppies or something.

Don't be a sucker. Fuck whoever wants food/shelter/succor/friendship. I want a stable, secure fortress for at least a week, before it goes completely south due to saboteurs, lame RP and general laziness.

Don't bother us. If you're just another douche implant, go find something else to do, please. Our policy has always been, don't mess with us, we won't mess with you.

I expect MOST of this to get sorted when F0lak does things like: bumps door HP to be in line with wall hp.

I think the Dwarves will be happy to hear, that Itium will be moving its township elsewhere, no not literally moving. However the current city will be abandoned some time in the next few days, possibly spammed with undead, if I get my way and turn into a mini-dungeon for all you combat lovers.

This being said, the current hostilities need to be remarked, since Itium will be moving away.

1.) Itium never launched any attack on the Dwarf town(s).
2.) The person who burnt the chests, is a blue hooded, and blue cloaked person (pretending?) to be a dwarf.
3.) Itium was never formed to be an issue for you dwarves. Itium was merely formed to be a place where the people who want to simply RP without being attacked by newbies every five minutes.

So, anyway, It was irritating on my part, and most likely on your part too. It was fun while it lasted, but Itium (It may not have the same name.) Will now be moving to an undisclosed location.

I'll admit, our paranoia level is epic right now. Your un-RPed ghost run through the fort early really did not set the tone right, and the encounter after it pretty much cemented suspicions. No real harm, no real foul.

I'm taking a step back from the game. It's not the drama or the looting that puts me off. It's more that I don't like woodcutting, mining, farming, and making metal or bricks, and too grindish for me to do them myself. I'm too lazy to work on Duradbesmar, so I'll kill off my character and say that he was eaten by a zombie (which actually happened three times). Duradbesmar now doesn't have a leader, so up to you guys up north to decide how to handle it.

Anyway, I worked on a bit of history for Duradbesmar, go and fix if I made any mistakes:

I'm screwed!

The game burned up everything I had, including my canteen and my bag. I lost all my keys, my weapons, my arrows, my clothes, my food, my tools, everything.

I literally have a gimped character in Newlands right now wearing nothing but a hazium crown.

Ok so I guess I'm officially the expedition leader of Abaloddom.

The rules are as follows:

1. You will not grant entrance to any non-dwarf. Furthermore, in non-rp terms, this person has to post here, and if they registered solely for the purpose of gaining access to the fortress, they can't take up residence or get access under any circumstances until I and other expedition leaders are satisfied they're trustworthy. Which may be never. Because we're suspicious bastards.

(Basically, if you're not a long-standing Bay12 Member, build a house on the continent, and wait. There will be no exceptions to this except for Hazordhu staff, or RL face to face friends. And if your friend turns out to be a douche, their sponsor is responsible.)

2. You will not, under any circumstance, dupe any fortress key for any purpose other than giving it to another full member of either Abaloddom or Duradbesmar.

3. You will not, under any circumstances, leave key moulds, keys or locks laying around. I can't stress this enough. Want to know what turns me into bad cop faster than anything? This.

4. You will lock doors behind you. This is another great sin against the fortress.

5. You will respect other player's property, houses, doors, chests, signs, ect... This is defined as anything inside a locked structure.

5a. Terms of Banishment. If you simply refuse to respect other people's stuff, and it causes someone actual or substantial grievance, you're banished. See 9a for what that means. But seriously, this is Hazordhu, get your own stuff.

6. You will put mounts you want to keep in a personal area behind a locked door. My take is if it's in a public area, it's a public mount.

7. You will NOT give strangers, even well meaning travelers or merchants, access to the the fortress interior except under extreme circumstances. And I mean extreme. We don't need trade. We don't need more non-dwarfs. If people want to trade badly, they can do it through a window.

8. Our "Foreign Policy" is thus. Our authority, above and below, stops at the Fortress Gates. Our right to take action in defense extends to our whole continent. If we need to ensure the safe passage of people from the coast to the fortress, do so and do so vehemently. Expect this policy to adapt and change as conditions in the game do.

9. You will NOT attack people outside the fortress unless they attack you first. Insults do not qualify. I reserve the right to have the fortress disavow responsibility for your actions, if you do something ridiculously stupid and expect us to have your back simply because you're a member. This is a last resort, but I will not let the fort get drawn into conflicts we can and should avoid.

9a. Terms of Banishment. When you've become a larger problem then I want to deal with, as in you're causing internal strife, jeopardizing the fortress, being inconsistent in your RP to the point we don't know who you are or what you intend, any or all of those things, I reserve the right to banish you from the fortress. You get 24 hours grace, at which point you're free game to any members if you're still inside the fortress, and your property is considered ours if it's inside. You can appeal the decision, later, from outside the gates. If you're flaunting the grace period by not getting out while you're online, I'll just revoke it and kill you myself.

10. Any stranger inside the fortress gets ONE chance to respond to you. First, get their name. Then escort them out. If they don't don't comply, if they flee without saying anything, kill them and we'll back you 100%. I don't want to hear any complaining about 'oo killed 'oo. The rules are here. Talk to each other and be straightforward, or expect to get an axe in the face. The sanctity of the fortress interior is our greatest concern.

11. If there are brand new migrants that are going to come to the fortress, it's the responsibility of every member to be willing to guide them home. No one should have to strike out for Abaloddom the first time alone.

None the less, to get from the Newlands spawn to the Fortress, head East from the coast and hug the northern tips of the islands you pass. When you hit a long north/south continent edge with a wooden structure on it, and lots of boats, you've found us. Head East from the shore until you hit a wall and then head either north or south. You will find us eventually.
