Ah, so that's where I've been stealing the stone from :P You might want to trade some of that stone with Duradbesmar, we've mined out and paved over all our stone. Oh, and you'll be right near some orcs and trolls, and have to worry about that a bit.

As you can see here, we have stone in our fort. There are three boulders that spawn in the field behind the trade depot. This should be more than enough stone to supply our fort, since all the walls and paving has been done.

Guys, we need to periodically take rods of durability and repair the fort. If you see a wall that looks a little dark, or a floor tile, use a rod of durability on it. Walls degrade.

I got bored and took a ride around the Mainland. Found something interesting... a cave blocked out by some trees, thought it would be a big underground cave, but turned out to be more of a maze. It's a long series of 2 tile wide diggable areas. Just hope it doesn't cave in while I'm exploring it.

EDIT: Well, explored the whole place. The exit is somewhere I'm familiar with, near the fortress, so it was a bit pointless. I did get hit by a few vicious creatures. Barely survived, ran really fast to lose them, only to die of cold just outside  :-\
yeah I know that cave, I didn't chop the blocking trees so other players do not easily find a back entrance to our fort.

Damn it. Of the many incarnations of BYOND I've read about, this is the first I've wanted to play. Time to go fool around...

Let Ramutashi inside the fort when he asks. He is now a dwarf.

A trader from Hazion came about a trade he agreed with kogan, but they couldnt deliver the 10 Ruff eggs for the 50 leathers as was agreed -and it seemed they realised how bad a trade it was for us, and didnt want to do us wrong-

I tried negotiating full health potions but he backed down when he realised how many meats he'd have to collect.

Anyway, we finally agreed to postpone this trade for later, as we don't really need much and also we actually could use leather for ourselves.

On a side note, it seems that our fort is attracting many migrants that are not from B12, I was told that the policy is "B12ers or vouched for by B12ers", but some of them are really persistent, asking time and again to be allowed inside the fort or masquerading (RPing) as Dwarves. While it could seem cool from us to allow some of these people, i fear that many of them lack maturity and will eventually be problematic.

Ramutashi, for example, was allowed inside the fort but originally i had to run after him all around the place, asking him to leave, and finally killing him after wasting a lot of time trying to talk some sense into him. He then rerolled and came back saying he was a dwarf, but he addmitted being 13 years old and googled the answers to the questions i was asking him to ascertain if he was a dwarf.
Anyway. I hate to be the one posting about such shitty drama, but i felt like i had to give my opinion on the matter.

On an unrealted subject, i've started farming Murshums outside of the north gate, in the natural cave by the water. I tried farming it outside as well but its only growing in caves apparently -which makes sense since they're only found in caves-. As dwarves, i think those should be our staple food, so i'll be farming them and i'll build a chest somewhere to store them, maybe in the east dinner hall. Only problem here is that it requires cooking, unlike vegetables.

It was not "Ramutashi", it was "Shinsuke" (originally), he just pretends to have other names and other races, and I already posted about him.

Whoa, 10 Ruff eggs for 50 leathers is like a really bad deal. We've got a few eggs and they aren't even hatching.

We could still trade it for metal, meat or dirt essences. Potions of strength are great stuff, and it'd be awesome to have every dwarf deal 100 damage per hit in a fight. I don't trust the Hazions or anyone to give full potions.. they could easily be watered down or swapped with poison. Maybe two leather for each essence, just not too many of the same type. Leather's pretty easy to mass produce and I've gotten the hang of hunting.

Anyway, since I'm normally playing on the off-peak hours, might be a good idea to assign someone to the leadership during the on-peak hours. Anyone volunteer or nominating someone else?

Add Riot Primate to the list. I'm sponsoring him. He's Ramutashi ingame, he's rather good. Mature.

Okay, I was talking to F0lak about our RP, and it's gonna have to change to prevent us being Elf-Decended.

Here is his final statement:

Quote
{ADMIN HELP} Reply from F0lak: How does this sound?  They've been living underground since the elves were the only race alive.  Living in seclusion, yadda yadda.  Didn't experience the Undead Plague, blah blah, just surfaced now.

This means that all dwarves have come out of caves, NOT human cities. We are NOT fleeing human discrimination. We might have a few advanced scouts who did, but BeardPully is our expedition to the Surface.

All clear?

Please ensure all dwarves get this info.

(I apologize for unilaterally making this decision for us, but I don't wanna RP an elf-descended dwarf. If anyone disagrees, go ahead and speak and we'll get the drills out)
