I'm might try this, but I don't know... I played Wurm Online and it get's boring for me when I don't got a list of stuff that my village required and quit long time ago. I wish there was like a board of demand's which list several need's that need to be done... from constructing building's, making certain tools, resources and whatnot... it help keep people in mind on what we need to improve the village and expand faster then just entering the village and spamming the chat on what we need.

I learned one thing today.

You should be careful not to accidentally take the harness off a Bux unless you want to be killed by said bux and take nearly an hour trying to get back to the mainland.

On that note, is there a re-spawn point on the mainland that we can use or are we forced to come back from the islands.

Right now I'm not sure what we need. What I'd recommend doing is making your own room in the mountain homes, and furnishing it, which in and of itself should take some time.

Pnx

Byond token Deon_DF, but the game calls my character Deon (and "Deon DF" in OOC), so I guess that's it.

Deon_DF and Pnx added to access list of the gates I made. Let me know if you can't lock or unlock the gates.

I haven't logged in yet... but we could always use more metal, hazium, phluf, food, at least until they're in abundance and until everyone has chain armor and a weapon at least. Then we could work on some megaproject dedicated to Gaia :P

Where is the fortress?

1. Go northeast from Newlands (the starting point).
2. Create a boat to row all the way north from that location. You won't be able to build boats near the Newlands city, so you'll have to scout around for a place to build it. Row north from that northeast point.
3. Keep rowing north until you reach the land. Sail east along the coast. You should find a group of boats, and a sign on the shore. Disembark there.
4. Walk all the way east until you reach a road. Keep following that road. I think someone expanded the road all the way to the shore, so it's a lot easier to find now.

(lol fixed)

Here's the situation:

I have done a ton of paving inside the fort.
The temple is complete.
Several 2x2 rooms. The underground east is probably the best area to dig out living quarters, armories, and the like.

The orcs occupy the territory to the north of the lake in the underground, don't pass it. Several have said they will kill trespassers.

Some orcs have decided if they see Hazion they will attack and kill everyone, so try to get Hazion out of the fort quickly if they show up.

Remember to plant and harvest! Our foodstocks are running low.

Yamur Vitkos's room was demolished in a cavein, it has been rebuilt as the workshop room.

3. Keep rowing north until you reach the land. Sail EAST along the coast. You should find a path, a sign, and perhaps a few boats. Disembark there.
4. Walk all the way east along the road. Keep following that road. It leads to the fortress.
5. The fortress has a sign labeled Geshud Duradbesmar outside. (It means Fortress BeardPully).

The Orc encounter last night was.. tense. I did pick up the Orc language though, through observation and deduction during the lengthy parley. The Hazion who spoke orcish was truthful in his translation, at least the parts I understood.

I guess I should also work on my RP skills. I forgot myself a few times. Perhaps I'll just be a hard-working, not very sociable minerdwarf that complains only rarely about inclement weather.

How often should pillars be placed? Do they have some sort of effective radius?

When I did my boat-trek from newlands up to the mainland, I reached the place where all the boats were. I decided to continue sailing east for a bit just to explore, and just past the massive brown cliffs with all the sharp rocks in the water there is some sort of undead stronghold. Two undead shot arrows after me as I passed in my boat, so I beat a hasty retreat and returned to the landing on the west side of the cliff. Just FYI if anyone decide to go there.

Supports cover a 3x3 area centered on the support.
Stone pillars cover a 5x5 area centered on the pillar.

I think walls support a similar area to the wood support, but not sure.

Oh... btw, if there's a reboot and you're inside, don't log back on immediately. My character was killed when a cave-in loaded during the reboot before the pillars did :P

Oh, and I harvested around 100 units of vegetables. Farming is kinda grindy, should be more fun to do it with someone else around. It'd be easy if some could plant a few, then someone else could harvest a few later. Probably any of you people who like Farmville would enjoy it :P

And it's a terrifying location. Several zombies spawned on top of our fort last night. Skeletal vermin aren't edible.
