I am willing to re-instate Argus back into the fortress under these conditions:

1) He agrees that he lets no-non member into the fortress, regardless of his RP inclinations. He's not actually guilty of this, but the perception is that he is, because of the Cicero incident.

2) Bugslinger, Horatio, and Argus agree to NOT EXCHANGE BLOWS OVER HONOR. Yer dwarves damn it, act like it. Bugslinger I need to talk to, but Horatio was in the right in most of these incidents as I read. You all need to agree to a truce for this to work.
Well, I agree to it. Won't be able to really make my way back till' tomorrow, I think. Busy today.

Hm. I have the incantations, but how do you use them to enchant a bow?
e; Nevermind, figured out how to.
e2; and apparently, all enchants are bugged at the moment. Great.
e3; Oh, looks like someone destroyed my sign and took my Bux, cool, thanks for the grace period. Considering I'm back in now, I'd like the thief or whatever to step up and give me back my Bux.
e; And someone unlocked my door, or F0lak didn't fix the lock bug.

OKAY FUCK ALL THAT EDITING.

Apparently Bux's disappear on reboot, and the lock bug hasn't been fixed yet.

Duradbesmar is mostly restored. I didn't finish it because I believe one new set of stone will be of great benefit to the future of the place, particularly the north gate. Also another spawn of clay would be very useful. So, next server reset it'll be finished again.

Know what that means? Another wipe, probably  >:(

but it's looking pretty, and I like Muz's plan. It worked out well, for the most part.

We aren't wiping any time soon.  This coming update with the new digging stuff will collapse every cave in the server, and require they be dug out again.  I've tried pretty much everything to avoid a total collapse, and nothing I can come up with is feasible right now.  Nothing will be lost,  you'll simply have to re-dig.  On the bright side: after this, even unsupported tunnels will save.  So you don't have to place supports all over the place when you're exploring.

Just beware of cave-ins. ;)

edit:  I'll probably help out with the redigging, and have the mods help out, too.  Unless you guys would rather do it yourselves so you know where different resource veins can be found.

I got a chance to see this in action, and I gotta say, it's awesome. Real-time cave-ins. Screen shakes, that terror of imminent death...it's good.

Basically, if you aren't willing to build supports, don't dig anything wide than a 2-tile passage. But, finally we can dig rooms out of stone instead of having to build them all by hand. It will still be necessary to build walls and some supports for larger constructions, but not nearly as much as before.

Oh, sweet, so basically mineable walls will provide support and unsupported tiles will quickly collapse? I like it.

I'm currently exploring this game a little. I find it really enjoyable in a casual way, basically a non-grindy Wurm Online. It doesn't feel like a grind, even if I have to perform a task over and over (like making bricks, for example) because I'm not hampered by skills or the worry of them decaying if I don't maintain them, etc.

There's still much of the game for me to investigate, but I'm thoroughly enjoying what I've come across so far. There are a few niggles, however. I may have generally bad timing when it comes to who else is online when I am, but there's been a few arguments over OOC that left me thinking to myself "Why??". Though I simply stood well back and observed them it did give me an uneasy feeling, but I doubt any on-line community is completely free of gesticulating, with people flexing their "The admin's aren't on, I can do/say what I like, STFU" muscles but there does seem to be a disproportionately large amount of people (at least when I'm online) who're of the opinion that following the rules is something only worth doing when there's someone there to actively enforce them.

Again, that happens to a degree in many games, and I think I've just been unfortunate enough to be on during a few incidents where this problem has been especially evident.

At any rate, I'm still exploring, and if/when I'm settled and know my way around I'll likely pursue inclusion in the B12 sub-community here :)

We got another love note at the North Gate.

Quote
HehehahaHAhaAHhAhA. I went across the bridge I did, there was a door, it was locked but I passed right through it. HAhaHAhAhAhAHAHAHA. Your all doomed now, none of you came to save me. Hehehehehe. Waaahaaawawawaaaaaaaa. Teeeheeehahahahaha. Someone walked right by me today. It wore white. I seen lots of people in white. Lots. Tons. HehehahahaWaaaaa. I talked to myself today. "But dun' go into the lava mesaid" is what mesaid. Talking to myself made me happy. I was also happy since I read the word HFS. Remember the first note? I seen the HF. I thought it meant Have fun. Tehehehehe. Your all going to die in your sleep. Hahahahahahahahaha. I seen myself walking in your hallways. I laughed. I cried.

I'm keeping the note. It's clear evidence I'm going to use. I'm fine with someone RPing our retarded, semi-literate stalker. This however isn't legit RP. Unless it's one of the Aels, but I kind of doubt that.
