We're also celebrating the birth of the first natural citizen of Abaloddom, Nel. If you see a young dwarf walking around, make sure to give them a pat on the head.

(My prediction for Nel's survival chances: 10%.)

We need Rith to keep pumping out those eggs. We'll never have to make another brick again.

I feel completely wrong say this, but I'm going to roll up a female breeding alt and bring her down to the fortress.

In regards to getting to and fro the fort and newlands, head directly northeast from Newlands northeast coast to the zombie ruins area, then directly southeast. You can do the same thing the other way around by going from where all the boats are nw then sw.

Yea, hugging the coast doesn't do well, looking for huts and such. The place we are at has lots of rocks by it. Look for the rocky bay.

Ideally, you'd head north, follow the mainland coast until you reach the zombie fort, head directly southeast, then travel up the coast you run into until you see a ton of sea rocks, then you'd get out there. Even better, wait for the Mainland connection to be set in stone and embark from Duradbesmar.

I've basically learned after dying so often to reach the fort by just going east until I hit a ton of rocks, and then looking for other boats or a shed (although the coastline is pretty huge and you can probably get off the boat once you find tons of rocks).

Also, fire is a pretty powerful weapon against players, because you take out everything on them that is flammable. Makes me respect fire bows a looot more. Maybe tinderboxes can be weaponized?

No one freak out if the work areas of the fort look clean. I did a little organizing.

I built myself a small, though currently empty, home through the western fortress entrance by the farm. I was going to build it where the archery range now is but missed the chance. The reason I've built it so close to the farm is that I have so far farmed quite a lot and expect to continue. I have not removed any of the rocks/boulders here and anyway we have plenty more outside.

On the topic of farming; I keep finding our fields with unharvested crops waiting to waste in winter. If you plant please try and harvest. We are a little low on seeds since the fire. I'm going to try and get a backup supply of each seed so we never loose certain crops again.

Has anyone figured out how to make fire enchanted bows? I just noticed on the change log in game that:
Quote
Changed the Fire Bow incantations, and placed 4 locations where you can discover what the new ones are
So the recipe is freely available. Any ideas of these locations?

Just so you all know, over the next three days my activity will be sparse as I work long hours at night GMT.

Vattic, we are NOT permitted to share the secret of firebows, and we are NOT permitted to show how to get them.  It is an ingame secret, and people are already worried we're breaking enough character as is.  We need to figure it out for ourselves.

And the seeds were useless anyways.  It was bugged.  The plants and stuff there are naturally growing weeds.

I wasn't asking you to post how to make them in the topic. I understand that it's an in game secret. I just wondered if the dwarves have them yet.

edit: My main interest is in dealing with the giant worms.

I can verify that the secrets are scattered over the map.

What do yo guys think about closing this topic down and starting a new one, with all the pertinent IRC, rules and info in the OP?
