I'll get up on the roof and pick off the hostiles, prioritising the ones with rifles; where possible causing injuries that not only disable the target but also make them a greater drain on enemy resources; and taking care to never use any sort of predictable pattern, using dice, coin flips or some other random method to ensure this.

That last point comes from me having recently read West and East by Harry Turtledove.

I suggest someone organise the NPCs into helping defend. Also, what's our battle plan?

There's about 25 of the fuckers and the three sarge killed were at point blank range - it's got to be zombies or a bunch of really dumb terrorists with knives.

Our battle plan is Zerg rush, our NPC commander's surname was orgionally in 1337, we are in trouble...
But on the other hand things just got quite awesome here.

I orginise the lazy unwashed NPC hordes uh... group? To fight on our side, all those with melee/no weapons head to the entrances and prepare to repel any attackers (making sure to hide and wait until my signal to first attack the raiders, so we get the element of surprise.) those with ranged weapons should take pot shots at the enemy.

I take up position with the mellee group, picking up a handgun and a club.

While waiting for the raiders to reach us I orginise some makeshift barricades for me and the rest of the group to take cover with.

I suggest someone take the 'sharp shooters', I can't command them from the ground floor.

I'm just gonna remind you, the only two ways to the outside are:

The main gates, which if you open, you would be fired upon.
And the hole in the roof, which with a little re-construction of the collapsed tower, you could make a ramp out.

As of right now, your 'sharpshooters' would pile out the front gate, take cover behind the palisades, and rush up-top before fireing.

Build a ramp up to the hole in the roof.

Also, can't wait to grab a rifle.

You were doing good on your sneak-rolls, just not your luck-rolls... you could sneak out, so long as you dont make a floorboard creak...

Well, since I'm kinds stuck inside, I think I'll just like, I dunno

Try and fix up armor for everyone who doesn't have it.

Looks like we'll need some form of protection.

I suspect you've never tried doing many illegal things yet in your game. The second the CCS knows you're "active", they'll come down on you like the hammer of God.

Well then I get the 'sharp shooters' to make a ramp! (On top of my previous suggestion)

--------------------

Gunther [13] You re-structure the fallen tower into a ramp onto the roof, you even break away the former boarding that was being used to seal it up.

Alex [9] You aim out the front gates, and fire off a few rounds (12 1 5) (+1) one swings off wildly, (6 5) another hits a guy in the face, and the third in another guys arm. They get shots off at you as well (2 7 2 2 11 7 3 6 11 5 1 9 3 12 7) (-1) Most of them pellet the gates around you, but some make through and hit (10 2 8 12 3 4 7 8 2) all over the place, some going in deep, some just grazing your skin. [-149.5 Health] Your senses go dim, light begins to blur, you drop your weapon and collapse to the ground, you see a bright light, you are compelled to go towards it, all around you is nothing but darkness, that light being the only thing other than you.....

[+.2 Ranged Weapons] [+1 Death Tally]

Quote from: Evergod41
HE IS NOT DEAD, DO NOT PANIC

Maximum [4] You run arouns all willy nilly not really knowing what to do, but you follow Stevens example, and just barely manage to stay out of the way...

Steven [16] You find no armour to fix, instead turning to the roof-top palisades being pelted upon, repairing a few of the holes is simple work, even with Maximum just standing in the way. [+20 Integrity]

Alek [17] Using the new exit, instead of being dumb and using the front gate, you clamber onto the roof, taking shots out onto the group. (4 3 12 9 12 6) (+1) All your hits strike true! (4 10 8 10 8 3) and do some considerable damage to the masses. They can only get off a few shots, which are all abosrbed by the palisades. [-20 Integrity]

[+.5 Ranged Weapons]

Sally [16] You successfully manage to calm all the people down, and get the people with rifles up to the top, where they can do some good without being killed. (5 9 8) They get true hits (5 10 3) dealing great damage. You stay with the clubbers, and rig up some inside barricades, not much, but something to duck behind. One of the civilians runs up and drags Alex in from the barrage, managing to not get hurt in the process. With what little medical abilities you have as a group, you stabilize him, but find a strange mark on his sternum, it's a demonic looking '1', it does nothing, but cannot be removed.

--------------------

[Turns here take less than a day]

Nick [9] You manage to break free of your non-existant bonds, and grab the closest thing resembling a rope, strangling the guard takes a bit, and he makes alot of noise, but the job is done, and nobody has come rushing in to see what happened yet. You grab his rifle and (14 +1) manage to not get seen while sneaking out of the place, (3) very soon though panic is stricking the compound and everybody is running about looking for you.

[Distance from Home: 2 days]

--------------------

Mostly Destroyed buildings litter your immediate surroundings, everything has been looted in the fullest. There is a foot deep layer of snow upon a foot deep layer of soot, everywhere. The Keep is very visable as a landmark from a while around. There is a trail going from one direction to the other, across the front of The Keep. (2) You have another addition to your chickens, it's a small rooster! It will mature in 2 days.

A raider's party of 15 Adults and 10 Children, along with 5 Pack-animals, are entrenched outside The Keep, Nick left before they dug in, and wont be back for some time, most likely he'll only show up when the raiders are gone. They dont know much about you, so they dont even really know how many of you there are.

Based on what you caught glimpses of before you were shuffled inside were that they are armed with:

5 Rifles
10 Handguns
15 Daggers

They are all dressed in heavy leather armour (10) and have enough supplies for a week, you on the other hand, only have enough for a few days, especially with them in control of both your greenhouse and well.

Spoiler: Raider Party (click to show/hide)

You get lucky, and due to all of their damages, they dont attack. (5) But they still look as veracious as ever...
