For some reason, I cant make heads or tails out of this, It might be because it's in either 2nd or 3rd person reference... but please, refer to your character as yourself, as in the 1st person, makes things a hell of alot easier for me.....

Your reference to this makes me question, how did you come about this story? Also, thank you for pointing me into the direction that plate-armour can indeed deflect 19th century ammunition.
