Gunther [17] You manage to completely sort out the piles of junk in The Keep, you find 20 more plates, 20 pipes, 20 elbow joints, 20 T-joints, 40 peices of nylon cloth, a small electric motor, and a small electric generator. You cant beleive that this stuff was just leying here and not being used...

Maximum [4] Well, you manage to find a pile of papers, but you can't make out what they are yet...

Raul [9] You manage to make the 'merchants' so angry at you that they hit you with one of the clubs. [5dmg] [10] [10] (5) [-15 Health] But they leave you there with the club, so good, right?

Cristian [13] You manage to barter the chicken over to your side, only loosing the two lawn-mower engines.

Steven [1] The chicken was already bartered over to your side, and mysterious forces prevent you from accually screwing this up...

Alex [11] You do manage to fabricate some (17) 50 arrows by tearing 5 metal plates, then bending them to make fletching. You also identify a few of the pipes to be able to be made into bows, but dont have an idea on what to use as string...

Stanley [3] You fail to get anything done today, way to go, failure.
--------------------

Mostly Destroyed buildings litter your immediate surroundings. There is a foot deep layer of snow upon a foot deep layer of soot, everywhere. The sky is overcast. Your Keep is very visable as a landmark from a while around. There are no available signs of recent travel. There is a trail of smoke coming from off in the distance, the group making the smoke is now visable, there are aproxamately 12 people dressed in assorted cloths, they weild clubs and daggers, and lead 3 camel-like creatures, there appears to be children amongst them they look un-friendly, they are here and somewhat willing to negotiate some trade.

The merchants stay for another day, but will be leaving the next, they eat their own food and drink their own water. Mostly because they dont really trust you.

They are willing to part with

11 light weapons [1 handgun] [4 scrap iron swords] [6 spiked clubs]
6 boxs of light ammunition [50]
a weak working generator [30 wzt/hr] [.5 fuel/hr]
3 half-filled jerry cans [10/20 fuel]

A) Decode papers. B) Attempt to figure out what was made in this factory. C) Try and find any machinery that may be salvageable.

Look for glass plates, and packets of seeds or some other edible plant that will give us seeds. Caulking would be nice also.

Thank the others and tell them they are welcome to trade with us any time. Set up an area for the chicken to live and lay eggs

That sucks what a waste of like a month of gametime so far feels like. d20's suck. I have a helmet with a visor do i get armor for that?

*i will wail and moan about how we need some charity for their fellow man and beg for supplies from the roof.

(I, Raul, was utilizing my social skills from the roof here. care to make a correction?, If they brandish ranged weaponry I'll stop since id rather not get shot. Also is my armor making a difference at all either of these times? If I give up due to them pointing ranged weapons at me Ill continue my previous project that i had failed at 2 times prior already.)

(Oh and in case you say they come up and bash me I will attack them at the top of the ladder with deadly force if theres nowhere for me to run, we dont exactly have a map)

guys we should build a water well, the ground should be saturated outside of the city and using pipes and simple hydraulic pressure, we can bring fresh clean water into the compound. now designing is going to be a bitch and will take days to build, we need to make a long 10-20 ft hole, fill the bottom with gravel, insert a pipe and build the pressure system and the underground system into our base. the pump should be at our base allowing to leave the lifeline in our control.

oh and for my action, roll and knit the nylon cloth into a stretchable string and use it for my bow.

I purposefully skipped the roof part, but I could say they threw it at you... and yes the second time it DID make a difference the armour value was the one in '()' while the dmg multiplier rolls were in '[]'.

The first time I forget about armour completely, then assumed you didn't have any, now i'm just gonna say: you weren't wearing it at the time...

And I would make a map of The Keep but I dont really have anything to do so, nor are my drawing capabilities with a mouse outstading...

All attempts to make, create, or type in an explination of what the inside and outside look like in detail have eluded my ability to maintain grasp upon. I am to RAEG right now to stop and start it all again, and do it the right way.....

Spoiler: Ground Level (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Second Floor (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Roof (click to show/hide)

Tried to keep it as close to the DF ASCII set, but there are a few differences.

The triple bars are flooring
The brown-ish area with 2 guys on it is a sparring area
The half-blocks are the factory doors that slide open
I forgot to replace the Second Floor down stairs with up/down stairs
There isn't anything on the stockpile because it would take too friggen long to designate each specific item an ASCII character
The solid block is a door

I forgot the accual color for military jobs but for this
Green is Ranged
Blue is Blunt
Light Blue is Blade
Red is Child
Purple is Hand-Hand
White is PC
Light grey is Scout
