The only artifact weapon I've gotten lately is Nunok Othos - The Numbers of Wilting.

This is a sterling silver war hammer. All craftsmanship is of the highest quality. It is encrusted with rock salt, studded with sterling silver, decorated with sheep leather, and encircled with bands of rock salt and cave spider silk. This object menaces with spikes of elk bird bone.
On the item is an image of dwarves in elk bird bone. The dwarves are laboring. The artwork relates to the completion of The Crowded Bridge as part of The Passage of Entangling connecting Claspexits and Citysinged by The Wilted Rack of The Machine of Anguishing in 54.
On the item is an image of dwarves in iron. The dwarves are laboring. The artwork relates to the Foundation of Crimsonworked by The Fortification of Castles of The Machine of Anguishing in the early spring of 174.

Hmm... I don't have the save file, so I can't remember the specifics, but I once had a black bronze shortsword that was encircled with bands of regular bronze, studded with rubies and menacing with spikes of turtle shell.

Please tell me I wasn't the only one that pictured an axe in the shape of a four foot long Milk-bone biscuit. 

Noooo! I can't get that image out of my head now! (I originally thought of all bone axes as along the lines of bryntoll, just in different sizes)

hehe   I had to look up Bryntoll (friends don't let friends play WoW, after all ).  Interesting look, and I can see why you'd picture bone axes that way.

Well, it looks downright elven (the bone texture isn't the greatest from far away, and looks wooden), but I'm satisfied for half an hour screwing around. I was originally trying to figure out how to make a spear entirely of bone with some interlocking femur thing, but I scrapped it and went with a simple cylinder. A unicorn vertebral column would work... hmm.

The textures are kind of bland, so if you can find an artifact with lots of designs and such, I could do that.

Interesting design.  Change the base color to an off-white/eggshell/tooth color and it should look better.  If you want to get tricky, go for a pearlescent/opalescent white instead.

Alright, just finished that. The spirals have at least 200k polygons, and adding that to the raytraced gems, it takes a while to render. Gems look weird because Blender is stretching the image and I don't feel like fixing it. I should probably sharpen the horn...

I believe it was called something like "The scornful ash" Or scornful brim.

Nifty spear.
The spirals at the base of the spear's handle look like unicorn horn to me. The threading on the point seems too small.
Also, the spear's handle/body seems to be too big in diameter, looking a bit like a pencil.

The horn spear looks a bit funny, with more focus on the handle than the actual nasty spike on the end. possibly reduce the handle diameter and increase the size of the horse (and add bigger threading?)

Otherwise your rendering skills are quite good.

This has got to be the coolest artifact weapon I've gotten yet. I checked the dwarfs room who made it and it turns out he is sleeping on the bed he made an image of.

Otikdesor (Sheenentrances) a green glass battle axe

This is a green glass battle axe. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is encrusted with brown zircon and obsidian, decorated with giant cave spider silk, and encircled with bands of brown zircon. This object is adorned with hanging rings of clear glass and menaces with spikes of sterling silver.

On the item is an image of mussels in green glass.

On the item is an image of Ast Shieldhooves the dwarf and dwarves in green glass. Ast Shieldhooves is surrounded by the dwarves. The artwork relates to the ascension of the dwarf Ast Shieldhooves to the position of queen of the Gear of Strangers in 452.

On the item is an image of Zefon Claspwatched the dwarf and a willow bed in platinum. Zefon Claspwatched is raising the willow bed. The artwork relates to the masterful willow bed created by Zefon Claspwatched for the Angry Mushrooms at Mushroomheaven in the midspring of 508.

On the item is an image of blazing suns in turtle shell.

This is a iron war hammer. All craftsdwarfship is of the highest quality. It is decorated with turtle shell and encircled with bands of hoary marmot bone. This object menaces with spikes of green glass. On the item is an image of Tobul Shotassault the dwarf in iron. Tobul Shotassault is traveling. The artwork relates to the flight of the dwarf Tobul Shotassault into The Horn of Glory in the early spring of 1060.

The dwarf fleeing is from a previous fort. She seems to be unremarkable, so what she was before probably doesn't matter.
The fort in question basically fell to goblins, but I weathered the siege before bailing out.
