The soldiers are all fine, though. Either the muck didn't do anything or it's a slow-acting poison.

EDIT: A giant horned condor just ate my legendary weaponsmith. Also it gave me some kind of biblical plague and now most of my fort is very drowsy, covered in blisters, and started spewing miasma almost instantly.

This does not bode well.

EDIT2: I'm not sure what happened to the condor. I think it misused its dust attack and fell in the magma. Good ol' magma. Nope, someone found the corpse. Didn't see it on my stocks screen earlier for some reason. Maybe it DID fall in the magma but it took a long time to die and then the magma spit it back out.

The World Without Knifebear — A much safer world indeed.
regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Could we have a save?

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

This is making me think of all the wonderful things that could happen if you could make cages out of ice.
