Oh my god I'm not the only one who thinks that.

We aren't. Aqizzar agrees too last I heard.

I still don't get the horrible green filter Beth choose to put over everything. First thing I'll download with NV for mods is totally going to be Fellout.

Yeah, it adds a lot of the atmosphere for me too.

P.S. The main thing I hope to see in Vegas: realistic settlements. F3 was really "simbolic" in terms on real locations. People didn't have all required strict roles to support settlements, and some settlements couldn't live like that at all. Also they were too small.

I liked fallout 1 and 2 to death as a child and I still liked fallout 3 and bought NV on steam.
I don't get why you guys bitch the fuck about how fallout 3 wasn't perfect, at least there is a fallout 3 you ungreatfull shits.
If bethesda didn't step up there wasn't going to be one anyway. I enjoyed it because I consider it only half canon and that's why I was able to play it and say yay.

You see Saint here is doing what I was being accused of here. Though I more meant the community he seems to be representing too well.

Just FYI for anyone not in the know, they're using the same engine they did for FO3, so it does look identical aside from the orange colour, which is actually a pretty nifty touch for the change in setting. My hope is more content for Fallout. The first one had a couple sequences of side quests, the main story and a couple DLCs relatively worth playing. Otherwise, I actually enjoyed FO3, it was fun blasting the crap out of stuff from an FPS perspective with power armour and a laser Gatling.

E: Ironsights, just pure awesome

I did hear they tuned up the non VATS combat apparently. Anyone seeing that on the stream? If they did that and had content more in the amount of some of their older games it would definitely be a buy from me.

Which is the same engine more or less than the oblivion one. Can someone explain how they can afford all of these high priced voice actors but not have the money to create a better engine or at least one that isn't so freaking buggy around mods or even vanilla gameplay.

The guy streaming isn't using VATS much, but he did earlier, doesn't seem so OP at the moment. Plus, DYNAMITE!!
E: Oh wow, alcohol actually has major effects by the looks of it.
E: Actually, he has been getting several headshots with VATS, but the iron sights seems to make it alot easier to actually aim and hit at a distance.

That was the girl he saved. Not the corpse. She was shooting at him from behind. It became obvious when he turned around and got shot in the face by her instead.

That makes the game pretty fallout like then I'd say. She's just like Ian! :P

I'm pretty sure the game just said he is disguised as a legion recruit when he put some legion armour on. The cake was truth.

I would have enjoyed Fallout 3 if they had possessed the decency to give it a different name.  I liked the Fallout 1 and 2 content that 3 ripped off; the BoS, the Enclave, Supermutants, power armor, ghouls etc.  I can understand if they are being replaced by something new.  But they are being replaced by something completely and utterly devoid of any kind of creativity.  Can anybody think of a single interesting thing that Fallout 3 did to a single bit of the original content?  And it's not like they were incapable of creating.  Some of their new content was interesting, like Three Dog or the Order of Lincoln.  But whenever they took the old content, they turned something full of flavor into generic crap.  So why not just start with a blank slate, call your game Wastelands 2, and leave Fallout 3 to someone actually interested in Fallout?  I'm not saying that it was perfect and never should have changed.  But if you are making a sequel to a much loved franchise, make it a freaking sequel!

Plus, there was still food left in the freaking vending machines.  150 years after the war my ass.  Why not make a damn prequel if you are going to make the world look like it's 10 years after the war?
