Rinderpest Eradicated
« on: October 14, 2010, 02:53:50 pm »

Yep, we killed off another one. Granted, Rinderpest isn't a human disease, but no one will have to deal with their cattle dying from it anymore.

And since that's done....Polio, we lookin at you, boy.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Yes. I mean, this is interesting, isn't it? Does no one have anything to say about this?

Quite an interesting move, really.  Hadn't thought about the damage livestock diseases could cause, and the benefits of eliminating them... hmm.

Polio eradication remains a possibility as long as Nigeria stop messing it up.

I don't know about other people, but I'm just mindlessly copying what I saw.

The best part is that PETD would have a better argument than PETA, in that we very well could continue to survive without destroying viral species, just containing their population. This makes me like the idea of eradicating them all the better, because that means it's really just for revenge because of the centuries of pain. Well, revenge and people not starving to death because their entire herd died in a few days without warning.

We're also getting pretty close(see: almost as close as polio) to being rid of Dracunculiasis. I hadn't heard of it untill recently, but god damn is that a nasty parasite.
