You make several squeeks at them, they assume you are hungry and the gnarly teenager goes to get you some grub. The mother and father sit down on the couch and talk about telemarketers and how they hate them so much. You were let down onto the floor.

You begin gnawing at the floor, you end up destroying the carpet and a pair of floorboards in your frantic toothy assault upon it.

 The parents are stunned at your activity. The gnarly teenager steps into the room and drops your rat pellets at the site of such mis-behavior.

Look at them with our charming rat eyes, so that they forgive us. Then eat the rat food so we may grow bones, and muscles, and other such necessities.

You use the power of supreme cuteness to sway the family into forgiving you. You then waddle over to the rat pellets scattered on the crewed up floor. You don't know why, but these rat pellets are very filling, your body gets to work converting them into the other sort of rat pellets.

 You decide to improve your salt projecting abilities. You have no idea how but you seem to have grown small tube life protrusions along your back, after some focusing you manage to have them fire salt grains at a much higher velocity than when you were but a mere soggy cracker.

You try to contemplate suicide, but you feel too amazing right now!

Finally, a cape appears out of no-where because I imagine Piffles with a cape. Awesome!
