Duplicates are allowed, just highly dangerous to do. You limit yourself to three stat and class trees since when I do an EXP roll for one class, it goes for all of them that leveled up with the same class.

Our parties are clearly rivals, as they use the same classes.

But if they take secondary classes then they would, hmmm, right, ummm, so they would be completely identical until 5th level?

Didn't even realize. I can switch monk for barber if it's a big deal. I just chose the ones I thought would make a good team.

Yes. But all classes like that are going to have the same stats until you calculate buffs, weapons, and armor.

Does it matter which order classes are taken in?

Yes. For example, if you don't take baseball player the first time you see it, you won't be able to use that class UNLESS you use a specific item, dropped by every boss monster (in addition to traditional loot.) And a note: There is one boss per level, and treasure chests are only loot-able once unless you roll a higher check than the person before you.

Turn 0 [Hedges, Ledges and Shopkeepers, oh my!]
« Reply #23 on: October 12, 2010, 09:41:10 pm »

The adventurer parties are gathered in the hedge maze for the competition. They avoid speaking to each other except amongst the parties, quietly whispering about the others and their choice of heroes. Everyone looks at the shop across from the starting line. Although they were all given equipment, it is of low quality, while the shop is carrying many shining silver and iron weapons, gleaming in the lights shone on them. As the proprietors of the race rattle of sponsor names and general fanfare, warning the penalties of attack other parties(for now), they also announce the catch- one final monster that give great gifts upon defeat. And, with a the sound of a whistle, the iron gates click open, and the battle starts off.[Hedges are impossible to cut, don't try]

We set a course for the centre of the maze, abandoning any of this 'left wall' garbage. Kappa will take the lead with John in the rear.

It's deflected off, for now. In later areas it causes bad things and fixed rolls for attacks... but the rolls are fixed through penalties given by race sponsors.

our party has mansauro, the mage and the most intelligent member of the party lead us to the center of the battlefield, having aidband, the priest and second most intelligent member, drawing a map so that we don't get lost the same way twice.

[3]RAM: Kappa takes the lead with John Behind them, and they take the center path.[1 on monster roll] A lapdog scrambles out of the bushes and starts yipping as to initiate battle.

[6]You manage to avoid the warrior's of fight rushing towards the right [the right was their closest path of movement] and do another right turn. A screaming flower is in your way, spitting petals.

[4] The warriors run to the closest path away from the start, the right, and keep going until they find a wall.

[4] Mansauro picks the paths that seem to be closest to going towards the center [ two lefts, he think that you entered from the left] [1] Aidband starts to draw a map, but the pencil breaks.
