Err... Did anyone try the updated program?
Yeah. It runs fine on my computer now.
Excellent. 60 FPS at all times I assume? Even when looking at a relatively dense cluster of stars with name display on?
It slows down if you open up the names and help at the same time, but only slightly.

Shut down the enemy shields.

Find a drill. Like a metal cutting one.

This one :

Hope it works. If not :

The bottom pat, not the whole thing.

So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Ragnarok: fly over to the other ship
USEC_OFFICER: Twiddle thumbs.
Iceball: Fly out of the Flea and board the enemy ship. Drill a hole right into it with my beak and begin destroying stuff left and right
Dragnar: Shut down the enemy shields.
Jacen: Find a drill. Like a metal cutting one.
Evergod(GM'd): Fire!
Noob(GM'd): Fix things that need fixing.

Ragnarok&Iceball&Dragnar: 2&4&3

You formulate a plan. Iceball will ride Ragnarok over to the enemy ship, Ragnaok using his pulse shotgun for thrust. Dragnar will shut down the enemy shields, and Iceball will penetrate the hull with his beak.

Ragnarok's "antigravity" works by ion wind, so it won't work in vacum.

Ragnarok uses an entire clip of pulse shotgun ammo getting over to the enemy ship, while Dragnar disables its shields. Iceball sucessfully penetrates the hull after a few minutes of banging his head on the armor plates.

A group of guards in EVA gear meet you. There are three of them, and they have pulse rifles.

Roll to dodge: 2 4

Ragnarok manages to get far enough away to not be harmed by pulse rifle shots, but the giant metal bird isn't so lucky. The pulses are far less lethal in vacum, however, and iceball remains more-or-less unharmed.

Roll to attack: 4

Iceball begins cracking visors. The guards are all dead.

Jacen: 4

You borrow a medium-sized drill from Noob's toolbox. Luckily, since your new warbot is only 10 inches tall, it should be large enough to allow entry into just about anything.

OFFICER: 2

You don't know how.

Evergod: 5 (I guess the dice aren't liking the Flea today...)

You try again.

Roll to aim: 3
Roll to track: 2

Roll to aim: 3
Roll to track: 1

You just can't seem to get a good hit in. The SDW cannons make really big scorch marks on the enemy ship's armor, but it doesn't seem to have affected its performance.

The enemy fires phasers again!

Roll to aim: 5
Roll to dodge: 1

Roll to aim: 5
Roll to dodge: 2

Two hits, right over the shields. They're almost down!.

Noob:

Nothing needs to be fixed. Yet.

Status line:

Jacen: AI in robot casing
Ochita: Robot. Spherical, with treads. Holding cargo-loadery thing, Arc Cannon, 9 cells, (19/20 loaded) universal translator.
Evergod: AI
USEC_OFFICER: Android. Holding Auto Shotgun, 42 shells (6/6 loaded), Ultrameter, SDW-10 beam pistol.
Spade: Hummen. Holding a small black rectangular device.
Dragnar: AI
Iceball3: ROBOT SKARMORY
HighEndNoob: Hummen. Holding apparent currency, pulse rifle, 7 clips (100/100 loaded), Toolbox, Aluminium Meroviate Armor. +0 M.E. manipulation
Ragnarok: Robot. Round thingy what kill and fix stuff I guess. Holding a ?credit card? Continuous-Fire Pulse shotgun with 36 shells, 6/6 loaded, bolted to chassis, can "Cast From HP".

The Drowning Flea: Stephinian Cargo Transport.
Armaments: 2 SDW-70 laser cannons.
Defenses: Full Iron Meroviate Plate Armor. EN4CR-1550 shield generator @ 20%.

This is not going well at all.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

(5) You manage to struggle free of the guards and sprint to a safe distance before tossing a knife at one! (5 + 1 = 6) The throwing knife zips through the air, slitting a guard's throat! It then travels around the group of guards like a boomerang. It (5) Slits another throat, (Three 6's in a row!) decapitates three more (!), (4) slices open the last guard's arm, and (2) narrowly misses a random bystander. It then flies back into your hand. Holy crap.

Using my new warbot, slowly walk out of the airlock, then push really hard at the enemy ship. Activate drill and go in.

Since this is space, I will go indefinatly until I hit another object.

Help with the shields. Also, the resident meatbags should think about getting into a space suit, should the shields fail and the hull is no-longer air-tight. Naked vaccum? Not fun.

Except both ships are moving relative to eachother, so you'd miss without a way to thrust in transit.

Well, you guys had the opportunity to purchase EVA gear, it's not my fault that you didn't think it was necessary. Lucky you've got that escape pod though.

Noob: Go o the shield reactor and see if I can strengthen the shields.
Jacen: Help someone. not the boarding crew.
USEC: Help with the shields.
Evergod(GM'd): FIRE!
Iceball&Ragnarok(GM'd): Attack from the inside!

Noob&USEC&Jacen: 5&4&5

Noob thinks he can temporarily force more power into the shields. OFFICER and Jacen assist.

You manage to push the shield generator up to 40%. It's getting quite hot, but it should last.

Evergod: 5

Roll to aim: 3
Roll to track: 1

Roll to aim: 5
Roll to track: 2

(Damn! The dice just aren't cooperating.)

You scorch some more of the enemy ship's armor with the first SDW cannon.

The second shot scrapes across the bridge, but doesn't last long enough to penetrate.

Roll to aim: 4
Roll to dodge: 6

Roll to aim: 4
Roll to dodge: 3

You manage to evade their first phaser shot. The second brushes the edge of the shield, taking it down 5%.

Iceball&Ragnarok: 6&1

Iceball runs up to the bridge, scaring and pecking the living crap out of everyone. He reaches the bridge and begins pecking consoles and crew. Someone fires a hand phaser.

Roll to aim: 1
Roll to dodge: 3

But it hasn't got any sights, so you can't aim the goddamn thing. He ends up just doing more damage to the bridge.
Ragnarok just sort of stays back a bit and lets Iceball peck things.

I think you're going to need to purchase a targeting computer or something. The SDW cannons are a lot more powerful than the enemy ship's phasers, but they're only good if you can sustain fire for a few seconds. Really, the Flea has the enemy beat in every respect except luck.

Will buying a better targeting computer give us a +1? Or something.
