As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

Run simulations of using a wormhole to transport energy for a second wormhole to the ship.

So... the wormhole requires enough energy to run to make the death star look like a firecracker?

So we need a massive power source...
Code: [Select]
>Do you know of anything that might be able to run the Wormhole drive that this is showing?
You could always attach some buttered toast to a cat.
>Very funny.
You never know, It may work.
>Anything remotely possible?
Let me check...
...
You could try Zero Point Energy, but that's merely theoretical.
>I'll look into it.
Look into it. If I fail, try the cat-toast method next time we come to port.

It's also a tiny, tiny amount of power. Free energy... but not a lot of it at once.

Unless you miniturize it to have a ton of them in a small space...
I don't expect it to work, really, just have no idea what to do right now, so...

So... the wormhole requires enough energy to run to make the death star look like a firecracker?

Well, think of it this way. The Battleaxe warship has a mass of very approximately one billion tons. Obviously, these ships have engines powerful enough to push them just about to 1c in a couple seconds AND THEN warp space so that they can go faster than that. Their reactors are powerful enough to sustain this indefinitely, along with life support for the crew, weapons, lights, all that stuff. They have to shut down the engines and weapon systems and charge a capacitor bank for an hour to make a wormhole.

EDIT:

Also, you may want to consult C-1 on that sort of thing. That's what I put him in the game for, as a Mr. Exposition character.

He's intended to be an Expy of K-9 from Dr. Who, if you didn't catch that already.

Jacen: Make conversation with a random person/AI.
USEC: Ask where we shall go next.
Evergod: Start spurting text on every console about my lack of audible communication
Dragnar: Run simulations of using a wormhole to transport energy for a second wormhole to the ship.
Noob: Look around The engine room for a tool set/ Tool Room
Ragnarok: Look into it. If I fail, try the cat-toast method next time we come to port.

Jacen: 4

You chat with C-1 about what just happened.

"The starship Rocinante is the flagship of the Stephinian Empire's fleet, and the personal transport of Emperor LS 000-001."

OFFICER: 3

Perhaps you should head back to the stardock that you were at before, to buy stuff and sell off the stuff you looted from the pirate ships.

Evergod: 6

You make a horrible ruckus by sending a stream of bell characters to the ship's terminals. Noob comes back up and hooks your speakers back up.
You set a course for the first star system you arrived at.

Dragnar: 6

You generally screw yourself up by trying to handle numbers that big. Seriously, that requires a metric asston of energy.

Noob: 5

You find a toolcase that the maintainance crew left for you since all the equipment aboard the ship was stolen. They even put a little bow on it. How considerate.

You go up and solder the bridge back together with this little auto-tinning soldering iron. Awesome.

Ragnarok: 6

It's pretty blatantly impossible with the technologies you're familiar with. Perhaps some more research on space technology is in order?

Status line:

Jacen: AI in robot casing
Ochita: Robot. Spherical, with treads. Holding cargo-loadery thing, Arc Cannon, 9 cells, (20/20 loaded) universal translator.
Evergod: AI
USEC_OFFICER: Android. Holding Auto Shotgun, 42 shells (6/6 loaded), Ultrameter.
Spade: Hummen. Holding a small black rectangular device.
Dragnar: AI
Iceball3: ROBOT SKARMORY
HighEndNoob: Hummen. Holding apparent currency, pulse rifle, 7 clips (100/100 loaded). +0 M.E. manipulation
Ragnarok: Robot. Round thingy what kill and fix stuff I guess. Holding a ?credit card? Continuous-Fire Pulse shotgun with 42 shells, 6/6 loaded, bolted to chassis, can "Cast From HP".

Transactions this turn:

Bank account: 4953.1 CU

Also, I need you to test this. Tell me how/if it runs on your computer.

Compiled EXEs are about 4 times faster, I didn't know it ran so much slower in the IDE. You should get 60 FPS.
Tell me what your minimum FPS is, how long the loading screen stays up, and of course if it runs at all or makes your computer asplode.

EDIT:

GODDAMNNIT I THOUGHT I COMMENTED THAT OUT.
Right, create a text file called Descs.txt in the same directory as the EXE. It doesn't actually read from it ever so you should be okay.

EDIT:

On a totally unrelated note, this is the funniest site ever.

Exit from sleep mode and put that beard on the end of my beak. Look for something made of aluminum and eat it. Then dramatically fly near where everyone else is standing
