A thousand years ago (minus an hour) it would have been the tenth minute of the tenth hour of the tenth day of the tenth month of the tenth year after ten centuries since the 'Common Era' started.

When you say "Common Era" it all sounds so petty and fake.

Its true, but it doesn't have to sound like that.

and 2 years, 2 months, and 2 days from yesterday, I will turn 18. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, out of all the shit handed out in life, I was generated with an 18th birthday of 12/12/12, which is coincidentally the last time the dates can sync up for another 94 years.

I think it's silly that the 'common' era only started 2010 years ago, when civililization has been around for thousands more years than that. We could even go from the founding of Uruk, and today would be 10/10/7033.

I start thinking like that, and then I get to time itself being a silly concept.

Then I stop thinking.

I'd just like to point out that today (In my timezone, anyway) is also the only 11/10/10 for a hundred years. Once-every-hundred-years things happen every day.

time itself being a silly concept.

That and being entertained by numerical peculiarities in time keeping..
