Well, if the Bubonic Plague bomb starts another Black Death in Europe... well, we won't have to worry about that as I've already picked out a perfect starting target.

I think we all joined together in an alliance against URIST, and then URIST collapsed.  Things are amicable in various places - Morgan has a research treaty with Ghostfang and a non-interference/non-aggression pact with the Evil Empire.

Phantom: None of those interest me, sadly.  Not least because inviting another country onto Africa would probably invalidate my peace treaty with the Evil Empire.

Archangel:  I have no intentions of expanding further into Africa and you could do with one less border to worry about.  How do you feel about a peace treaty or NAP?

Alright, since we have Computer-Assisted Turrets, I'm going to assume we also have Computer Science I (a pre-requisite), as must the Ghostfangs.  This is semi-important, as I'm aiming to use it as the pre-req for a new Pure research item, Academic in nature (neither Military nor Economic, but with later Applied techs in either).

V-Norrec, sending you money again towards the research of a new tech; Computerised Artillery Platforms, essentially the ditto-upgrade to APs that CATs were to MTs.  Enjoy the research boon, though you might want to put even more cash into it if you want it this turn.

Territories

- Sierra Leone (1232$/turn): 2 Regulars (2 Entrenched), 1 Battle Accountants, 1 Manual Turrets, 1 Artillery Platform
- Guinea-Conakry (411$/turn): 1 Manual Turrets
- Liberia (222$/turn): 1 Manual Turrets, 1 Regulars
-Côte d'Ivoire (47$/turn):1 Regulars
-Guinea-Bissau (65$/turn):1 Regulars

Bonus Income (American Aid): $750
Bonus Income (Loan): $500

Wealth

Revenue: $2727
Savings: $42
Research: -$2700

Remainder: $69

Investment: -

Construction: -

Tech

Research:  Plough $1000 into the development of Robotics I, a Pure, Academic technology focused primarily on bringing Morgan Industries' robotics and automation tech up to scratch with the first world.  If any direct application is likely to result from these initial forays, it might be in the area of research automation.  Base Tech: Computer Science I

Research:  Plough $1000 into the development of Financial Software, an Applied, Economic technology designed to allow financial institutions under the Morgan umbrella to take greater advantage of venture capital in their investments.  Base Tech: Computer Science I

Transfer:  Send $700 to The Ghostfang Brotherhood for the development of Computerised Artillery Platforms, a logical extension of the Artillery Platform technology with computer-assisted targeting and rangefinding.  This technology remains manually operated.  (Applied, Military)  Base Techs: Computer Science I, Artillery Platforms

Trade:  Computer Science I to NOD for Advanced Psychology.

Trade:  Manual Turrets to RAM for High-Tech Research Equipment.

Robotics Research

Although Morgan Industries remains competitive with the world market in general computing technology, we are behind the times on even basic robotics.  Many Morgan factories still depend heavily on manual or simple machine labour for production, a potential waste of resources where repetitive or high-finesse jobs are required.  Much of the budget for this project is aimed at simply reverse-engineering robotics and automation technology already prevalent in the West, even on the level of research laboratories or automobile manufacturing plants.  Only once we have a well-developed robotics base can we engage in serious automated production.

Quote from: Economic Development Directorate, Morgan Bank
Financial Software Initiative

As much as we profess to our clients that we remain a globally-competitive financial powerhouse, much of this propaganda is undermined by our frankly outdated financial and economic tools.  By replacing our existing banking and investment software and servers with new state-of-the-art equipment, we should be able to construct centralised financial institutions able to rival those of the rest of the world such as major banks or stock markets.

- T.M. Morgan-Reilly, Director

Quote from: Weapons Design Committee, Morgan Security
Report: Computerised Artillery Platforms

Our friends in Thailand have made great strides with the anti-vehicle artillery platform designs in the past months.  Though less fine-tuning is required to hit targets in short to medium range than for anti-infantry turrets, artillery platforms could still benefit from computer-assisted targeting and rangefinding over long distances.  When the modern world regularly produces battleships, carriers and tanks that can bomb an enemy long before he can even be detected on radar, artillery defences of similar precision and range are critical to our survival.

I think if theres anything everyone agrees on in this game, it that africa will hold the a very large amount of fighting when WWIII starts.

Hey Ragnarok!

Uh. Want some JJT's or Walker technology?

Also, Sheb, shouldn't Titan's get the pure tech of Walker technology? It's pretty hard to use those normally.

erm, i'd prefer just straight up cash infusions, but i'll take anything you are willing to give me.

I'm working toward one goal at a time. Right now that goal is to FINISH THE DAMN GUN.

I'll take the Walkers, as being able to build this is always a good thing:

Archangel:  I have no intentions of expanding further into Africa and you could do with one less border to worry about.  How do you feel about a peace treaty or NAP?
I'm amenable to either. What do you want for the Basic Computer Science tech?

Money

Starting Money:  $0
Revenue:  $3242
Research: Multi-Missile: on hold
Research: Automated war factories: On hold
1 unit of Commandos and 1 Transport in Turkey: -$1540
1 Transport in Algeria: -$500
Investments: -$502
Other items: -$700
Total:  $0

Operation Signal

Operation put on hold while it's forces are being used for Operation Hunter.

Operation Pallid

Operation task force (the 10 Militia in Azerbaijan) shall be given leave for the month.

Operation Hunter

Taskforce currently consists of 2 units of Commandos in Turkey, 1 unit of Tick tanks, 1 unit of Laser Tanks, 1 unit of Commandos, and 2 units of Regulars in Algeria, and 2 Transports in Spain. The Transports in Spain shall move to Algeria.

Other Armies

1 Regulars in Azerbaijan entrench.
1 Regulars in Armenia entrench.

Investments

Invest $502 into Israeli Arms, building more factories in Greater Israel and seeking more international contracts. Though they are outclassed by laser weaponry, projectile weapons are still being used by the rest of the world, so I might as well be the one selling them.

Other

Give Iituem $500. Also trade with him Advanced Psychology for Computer Science I.
Invest $200 in one of RAM's countries. The specifics are to be decided by him. Incidentally Sheb, what happened to the money I invested in him last turn?

I'll merge Armenia and Azerbaijan into Azermenia; Kuwait will be added to Iraq; and I'll add Lebanon to Greater Israel.

Peace treaty would do fine.  I'd happily trade CompSci I for Basic Psychology, but if that doesn't seem an even enough trade we can negotiate a bit more.

Edit:  RAM, would you be interested at all in selling the High Tech Research Equipment technology for money or tech?
