You may want to build some defences RAM. If those two armiesare killed then a single miltia can take half your empire...

What? Like weren't all already planning to do that? The goal of the game *is* to conquer the world.

Yeah, but publicly threatening people when you have just entered the game and are in need of allies is kinda somewhere along the lines of suicidal.  That and pissing off the GM who put in an asteroid to kill you specifically if you pissed him off again.  Really, you have to have better tactics than that.

Considering I value my life and Phantom would probably start uprisings in my countries if I did that, no.

Bah, Rome never had many allies anyways.

Well hopefully my expansionist/defensive policies will save me.

Rome also had the best-equipped, most trained and disciplined armies of its day.  The allies it did have were bound to it by the threat that the alternative to Roman dominion was worse and the Empire in its heyday was largely the result of cunning, ruthlessness and extremely skilful diplomacy.

The British Empire was just founded on drugs, though.  You can rely on drugs.

RAM, what are you going to do with the money I invested in your countries? Or rather, to which one of your countries are you going to direct the money I invested?

Johnfalcon, the more you talk the better I feel about Operation Hunter. You seem to have managed to get all the other players off side, which, unfortunately, means you deserve to be destroyed. I hope you will learn from this.

Yep, sorry Demonic Spoon, I should have mentioned that. Now, the stuff is, you never told me what you expected this tech to be. Economies can be improved in a lots of way, from just being bigger, to growing faster, to being more resilient, or just plainly being able to absorb more cash (What "Economic Education" do). So yeah, when time came to decide what your tech would be, I became lazy and decided it'd do the same thing. Much like phantom's "Improved Production Lines" and Archangel "Automated Factories" are basically the same tech.

So let this be clear: if you want something, ask for it! If you just voice general ideas, you may not end up with what you want.

P.S. And seriously, you were just damned unlucky. You've rolled two critical failures in a row.

Edit: Well, that was a bit harsh, I'm sorry. But at least admit that you've got part of the blame. Now I'm split between giving you compensation or not. I mean, I should have told you, but you should suffer from those two critical failures...

I was thinking more income somehow? Like bigger economy maybe? I'm not good with specifics, I like how Usec interprates the technologies I ordered research when I get brainfarts. Also, the reason this is really annoying me is because to date I have succsessfully researched ZERO technologies. Admittedly this is somewhat my fault as I haven't been spending much on it till the last few turns. But now that I spend thousands I not only fail, I CRIT FAIL.

Good luck with that. I plan on becoming a defensive powerhouse with thousands of strongholds and railguns.

But why shoot each other to death when we can shoot our enemies to death? I can propose a tech trade deal, you get supplied with some of my techs and in turn you do not rape me and my empire. Deal, or would you like to alter it a bit?

(Railguns and the mechs I research are stirctly off limits though. )
