Second Turn
CNN-
Dear viewers, the ones among you with more than a standard information-age attention span will remember that several government fell to coups yesterday. As expected, most of the new governments seems to be of the nationalistico-militaristico-incompetent one. Only Canada managed to successfully invade any land. And it was Greenland.
On a more joyous note, the Israelo-Palestinian conflict seem to be over. Mostly because there is not enough Palestinian to keep fighting left after a courageous anti-terrorist action by Tsahal. International Observers lost count of civilian casualties as their bunker were destroyed, but well, peace's peace, isn't it?
Phantom
You buy on Transport ship.
ExKirby
You research Basics Psy-Ops for 1000$. Your scientists came up with a compilation of studies, and find out enough informations to create an effective Propaganda Department. You can now spend 500$ for a 40% chance of starting a rebellion. If the country belonged to another player, it revert to independent status. If it was independent, it loses part of it's army in the resulting civil war.
You get a 35% malus if the target is a player's starting state. Spending more/less money will result in a bonus/malus.
You attack Russia.
Russian army: 10 Infantry divisions, 2 Medium Tanks, 2 Heavy Tanks, 2 Helicopters, 2 Bombers, 2 fighters. (Come on, you really expected to invade RUSSIA with 2 divisions? Armed forces are (loosely) based on IRL.)
Japanese Army: 2 Infantry Division
Your divisions land in Kamchakta under heavy bombing, and one of them is torn to pieces. The rest of your army, suffering heavy casualties, manage to get back to Japan.
Research:
-Improved Infantry Attack (500$): Your scientists are full of ideas, but none of them have any experience leading soldiers, and non of their ideas are useful. Dang.
-Scouts (500$): Your engineer develop a light, cheap and stealthy aircraft that can be used for scouting. Scouts are units and can be bought for 200$ apiece. When a scout "attack" a country, you get an 70% chances of knowing what units are there and a 10% chance of getting caught (20% if there is any fighter/fighter-bomber in that country)
Army:
Your armies invade defenceless Greenland, and assert your control over the Queen Elizabeth Islands. Those are poor, sparsely populated territories however, so you won't gain much from them.
Research: Military Indoctrination(500$): Your psychologists manage to make a slightly funnier Soldier's Handbook. While the jokes about mathematicians and light bulbs make for a good laugh, it doesn't go very far toward indoctrinating your soldiers.
Armies:
German Army: 3 Infantry Divisions, ,1 Light Tank, 1 Heavy Ta 1 Helicopter, 1 Fighter-Bomber (Same comment as for ExKirby: you should try invading weak eastern European countries first.)
Polish Army: 3 Infantry Divisions
The Polish Army, led by brilliant officers, managed to gun down a fighter-bomber squadron soon after crossing the border. As they were marching on Berlin, they surrounded a Light Tank Corp and destroyed it. However, the encirclement left them vulnerable to air attack, and 2/3 of the army were mowed by the gunships' machineguns. (You did 2 nice rolls, but then luck left you... Try to invade Slovakia next time).
Production: You raise one Infantry Division
Research: Kinetic Kill Field (500$)(I assume you mean Gauss Cannon?): Your scientists work hard, and manage to make a few nice prototype, but nothing useful on a battlefield yet.
Army:
Saudi Army: 2 Infantry Divisions, 1 Light Tank.
Egyptian Army: 3 Infantry Divisions
The Tanks were no matches for the Egyptian's Bazookas. The Saudi Infantry, however, was another thing: they keep marching back and back, fighting small skirmishes and ambush, until the demoralised Egyptian troops had no choice but to walk back home (Bad rolls, but at least you didn't lose any units.)
Ram, 1 bomber+ 2 militia is 1050$, and you have 1000$. Also, units cannot move the turn they are created. Since this is the first turn, I'll let you play it again (So you have to play twice now).
Research: Laser Rifles (1000$): Making a laser if really easy, but making a power sources small enough to fit in a rifles is beyond your mean for now. More research perhaps? Anyway, your scientists learned much about Lasers (Cap is raised by 5 for all research on lasers)).
Armies:
Palestinian "Army": 1 Militia
Israeli Army: 2 Infantry Divisions: Acting for national security reasons, Tsahal decided to occupy Palestine again. Despite fierce urban battles and severe casualties, Palestine is now part of Israel again.
Lebanese Army (+ Hezbollah): 2 Militia
Israeli Army: 2 Infantry Divisions
Not so lucky on the Lebanese Front however: Guerrilla fighters pinned the Israeli to the ground while a huge rocket barrage shred the soldiers to piece. Only one division came back.

Okay, after looking at those fight, they seem to be to balanced for me. I think I'll double every modifier, so that there is (slightly) less randomness at hand.
