Rather tempting, as the superpower is a threat to everyone.  What would the Operation require?

V-Norrec: Have some more money.  Then have your guerilla scientists frog-whipped.  Or possibly horse-marched.

Territories

- Sierra Leone ($800) -  4 Infantry (2 Entrenched), 1 Manual Turret, 1 Battle Accountants
- Guinea-Conakry ($250) - 1 Manual Turret
- Liberia ($222) - 1 Manual Turret, 1 Infantry
- Cote d'Ivoire ($47) -

Bonus Income (American Aid): $750

Wealth

Revenue: $2069
Savings: $173
Tech: -$1200
Investment: -$700

Remainder: $142

Investment: Plough $700 into developing the bauxite extraction industry in Guinea-Conakry.

Tech

Send $600 to V-Norrec for the research of Artillery Platforms, turret-like immobile structures designed to launch large shells further distances than stable artillery could manage.  In effect, turrets aimed at anti-armour defences instead of anti-infantry.

Research: Put $800 into the research of Propaganda Centres, an anti-Psy Ops technology designed at decreasing the likelihoods of propaganda attacks succeeding.  This is a purely defensive technology.

'Armies'

Battle Accountants make token work on Guinea-Bisseau, mostly to support the buy-out.

You know, if it was 2012, it would be the end of Obama's first term, not his second.  Just saying.

Iituem:  Think of it as field testing, we now know Artillery Platforms are terrible against Guerrilla troops and shouldn't be used against them.

Finances
Savings:  $62
Revenue:  $1,603
Payments:  $600
Total Funds:  $2,265

Recruitment:  $1,550
Research:  $600
Investment:  $100
Total Expenditures:  $2,250
Savings:  $15

Recruitment

1 Light Tank in Thailand
2 Regulars in Thailand

Research

Spend $600 researching Artillery Platforms

Investment

Invest $100 in Laos improving Industrial Production

Money
Invest in Greater Israel: -$885
Total:  $300
What happened to these? I can't really post my turn until you answer this question.

You also appear to have given me a free unit of Tick Tanks in Iraq, I may be mistaken about this however.

Finally, though this is a minor complaint, the comment for my research was the same as last turn.

EDIT: Sheb, I will change this as soon as I can after you answer my question, but I'm posting a turn now so that I can be sure it gets in.

Money

Starting Money:  $300
Revenue:  $3004
Research: Multi-Missile: on hold
Research: Automated military factories: -$804
1 unit of Regulars in Portugal: -$400
1 unit of Regulars in Morocco: -$400
11 units of Militia in Turkey: -$1100
Other items: -$600
Total:  $0

Armies

1 Rangers, 1 Militia and 2 Regulars from Turkey attack Armenia.
1 Tick Tanks from Iraq attacks Armenia.
1 Tick Tanks in Portugal unentrench.

Operation Signal

As an important part of the taskforce is resting, the operation cannot move forward at the moment. Therefore, Both Regulars in Morocco get two weeks leave, one unit in the first half of the month, the other in the second half.

Other

Give RAM $600.

Okay, seems like I forgot tidbits here and there, as usual. I'll update the turn.

V-Norrec: it seems that Obama was not elected for a second term.

Edit: To Archangel
Okay, you earned 113 from your investment. I edited your research text, but the unit of Tick Tank has been there for a while: it came from Syria 3 or 4 turns ago.

Demonic Spoon: fixed the error  you pointed.

Turn XXV

HEADLINES: November 2012

8th New York Time: Sarah Palin elected U.S. president

The year is 2012.

Liberal President Barack Obama ends his second term with approval ratings in the low 20's, and is succeeded by hardcore Arch-Conservative Sarah Palin.

With Conservatives sweeping into power in the House of Representatives and Senate, and a Conservative majority in the Supreme court of the United States, commentators are hailing it as the beginning of a new conservative era.

President Sarah Palin has asked the new Congress to move quickly to rubber stamp hes radical Arch-Conservative agenda. The left seems powerless to stop this imminent trampling of Liberal Sanity and Justice.

Quote
ends his second term

It should be ends his first term, 2012 marks the end of the first term.  2016 would be the end of his second term should he be reelected.

I'll play. I have way too much on my plate to host though.

Uh, it's more of a community thing. Each player's country is done 1 at a time. Also, I don't think I'd allow you to host it anyways, seeing as how you made your last conquer the world thing too complex for it's own good. I like this ruleset, it's nice.

RAM, I'll give you $600, but only on the condition that you let me have Algeria. If you do this, I'll also help improve your countries' economies. You'll get more money out of this deal than you would out of Algeria.

Sheb, I've edited my turn, and might be changing it further. Also, the aim of the automated factories is to reduce the production costs of tanks and planes, and possibly ships.

Hmmmmmm, I finally gain access to some valuable land, and nobody's name is on it, and I am supposed to ignore it because of a promise of a little foreign aid, and a dash of good-will...

Okay! Sounds like fun! Editing turn...
