Toying with doing a C@W clone on the side.  Only question is - should I go with modern warfare, or a more Master of Magic style fantasy?  o:

Turn XXVIIII
April 2013
Headlines

New York Times:Italy annexed

Using its experience of amphibious operation, the Brotherhood of NOD finished annexing Italy today, despite losing a battleship. Switzerland offered 50$ as a thank you present.

El Pais: Moon-based gun operational, Sauron say.
“Three Guns on fighter-bombers under the sky
Seven in their missiles in the hall of stones
Nine for the Italians doomed to die
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Gun to rule them all, One Gun to find them,
One Gun to target them all and in a flash of light nuke them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.”

Frankfurter Allgemeine: Palin goes hysteric about BFLG.

Answering a question about Sauron’s BFLG, President Palin appeared to have lost her nerves. Broking into tears, she started shouting “Of Course it’s dangerous! But they won’t have my precious!” Evacuated by the secret service, she wasn’t heard from again in the afternoon. An executive order from the Oval Office announced that the U.S. were to step out of the U.N. and to go into Defcon 1.

So yeah, here's the turn. Phantom, I couldn't find your post. Can you link it?

During the Italian-NOD fight, I had to think a bit more about the way damaged units work. Well, here are the rules: When fighting, if a side only has resting units left, they'll retreat. If they cannot retreat, they'll be destroyed. So if you want to avoid eternally retreating armies, you better try some kind of encirclement.

Also, to excuse myself from posting so late, I introduce a new possibility: Megaproject!
