Large animal traps
« on: October 09, 2010, 06:37:29 am »

well this is something that I'm really wanting.
When I was playing I noticed animal traps and I was like: "Oooooh capturing elephants"
but not hey only capture vermin, Now I randomly place cage traps on the map hoping to catch wandering animals (works to some effect)
I would like to see large baitable animal traps whihc actually actract the animals, which also require the correct food (herbivor carnivore)
please make a guy happy  ;D

Animals actually eating would probably fix this. You could figure out what it is a particular animal ate and then make sure its only source was surrounded by cage traps.

Build walls across the map and put traps in the crossings. Or just build trap lines.

Code: [Select]
    #
    #
    #
   ^#^
####^####
   ^#^
    #

Sadly, you cannot currently tame these elephants without modding (the Dungeon Master won't come), so buy a breeding pair from the elves.

faster alternative to building wall is digging dry moats. a moat that's near the edge, totally surrounding the map and leave only small choke points will net you many many caged animals and goblins on those choke points
