Frozen - Minecraft LP
« on: October 08, 2010, 07:22:38 pm »

(Dm said it would be fine to make a LP on minecraft as well, so here it is.  :P)

I kept making worlds until I got what I had wanted, a frozen world. I'll try to update at least once a day, maybe more. On weekends, I should be able to get at least two updates.

For a while, I'll play it on peaceful. After I get settled, it'll go on easy.

Just so you guys know, here's a picture of the place:

May take some time, but make an ice palace. On top of the ice shelf.

Also, you need a snowball fight set of forts. Boxes with no middle row or roof, and a lockable iron door would do quite nicely. Just build a 5x5x5 hollow box, and line the walls in snow blocks, to store ammo.

I vote for a giant golden statue of a spade above your ice palace.

May take some time, but make an ice palace. On top of the ice shelf.
I guess I will. Seems like a good idea.

How many gens did it take to get a frozen world?
I get one about every 3 or 4 gens.

Yay for Spade! Also, Ice world? Good luck, dude.
Thanks!

Day one - Night one
*BEGIN VIDEO RECORDING*

I'm so frustrated about not knowing where I am. I just felt like I needed to hit something, so I did. I guess I accidentally hit the local animals too much though, since most of them died. Lucky for me though, they dropped some resources. I quickly gathered them up, in hope that they'd be useful sometime in the future. Even after killing a few of these animals, I still felt pretty angry.

I decided I'd just punch a tree instead. Hopefully I won't feel as bad killing something I can regrow.
To my surprise, part of the tree fell off! I started to think this tree must be magic, since it stayed in the air even after it's support had broken off. After thinking about the magic for a while, I decided I just wanted to punch more. I broke off the rest of the tree.

I felt pretty calm now. Feeling I should make some things to help me survive here, I opened up my backpack. The only thing interesting inside was a small crafting table. I knew I would have to experiment, so I put all of my logs on it. I managed to make some better wood.

I had started to walk across the ice, but then my anger took over again. I punched down on the frozen surface as hard as I could. I didn't think I would fall through, but I did. I sank to the bottom of the lake, and started to run out of air. I was able to make it out just in time though. I don't really want to talk about it.

After that horrible event, I went to examine some of the nearby rocks. I got excited when I noticed one that looked different from the rest. I couldn't help myself from trying to extract whatever resource would be inside..
I now realize that my hands might not be strong enough to break rock.

I decided I'd need something besides my hands if I wanted to do anything around here. I quickly put four of that good I had on my crafting table. It took me a bit, but I managed to create an even bigger crafting table!
I placed the table close to me, and it immediately got covered with this horrible snow.

I got to work. I used almost all of my wood making all the tools I'd currently need.
I'd have to hurry up and do what I wanted to do. It was starting to get dark.

I tried to mine that odd looking rock again, but this time I used my new pick-axe instead of my hands.
SUCCESS! Out from the stone fell a black rock, which I'll assume is coal. This achievement seemed to melt all of my anger away. I just know I'll be able to make some great things with this stuff.

I used all of the coal on making some torches. I'd have to get some more sticks in the morning, my supply was running low.
I placed one of the torches on a nearby rock, and startled myself when the ice next to it started to melt. I didn't like the sight of water. It reminded me of my accident.
I didn't have enough time to make a proper bed today, so I guess my crafting table will have to do.
Good night to whoever is listening. I'll see you in the morning.

I use IE for quick-travel purposes.
I'm used to how it looks, and it has all my bookmarks on it.

I use FF for long posts(Like that one), and most games.

Google Chrome is the best, hands down. A fair chunk of the FF team moved onto GC, including the dude who made Greasemonkey. FF+Cool Google Gizmo's > FF.

Google chrome doesn't have all scripts and extensions I need, otherwise it's okay.
