Quick Production Question

Do dwarves have the capacity to make leather headscarfs?
If not (which I assume is the case), does a mood cancel out the parameters for what dwarves can create?

Dwarves in moods can literally make any object out of any material as far as I know.

You can have entire beds made of out a single gem.

I think there are some exceptions, namely I've never heard of something like a leather hammer or a metal clothing item.  Other than that though I think anything goes.
